Usually a free-going sort who was far too keen when last of 11 at Yarmouth on return from 10 months off. Bit more like it when fourth at Epsom but reverted to previous ways when refusing to settle from the front at Southwell.

Return to 7f worked the oracle when winning a pair of Southwell handicaps in February. Looked to go off the boil in the spring but a break may have done him some good.

C&D winner from 2 lb lower in October. Runner-up 3 times since and recent spin on turf from a poor draw at Chester should have put him spot on for this. One to consider.

Strong form when runner-up last year and progressed nicely when getting off the mark over 5f here in June, beating a subsequent winner despite the trip looking on the short side for him. Matched that form when third on handicap debut over 7f and there should be more to come over this distance.
