3-time winner at around 1m last season and reappeared with a promising fourth at Newmarket in May. Not in the same form in 2 subsequent outings, though has dropped to a handy mark as a result. Lightly raced at this trip (runner-up at Haydock last summer) so he's one to note.
Recorded back-to-back wins last summer, including this same race. Hasn't offered much in 2 starts this season, but he's had a breathing operation since his latest outing and is now back down to his last winning mark. Interesting contender.

Fitted with cheekpieces when getting off the mark for the year at Pontefract (1m) in June. Has found run of good form coming to a halt the last twice, well held at Redcar 7 days ago. Has won at 9f but this is his first attempt at 1¼m.
Veteran who is thriving on racing this year, completing a quick-fire hat-trick when making most at Ripon 12 days ago. Can make another bold bid in his current form.
Bounced back to best to double his tally at Yarmouth in June, albeit having the run of the race. Has found things tougher in class 3 company both starts since, looking a hard ride at Pontefract 20 days ago, but drops back in grade here.
Losing run is mounting up but he went close at Ripon in June. Hasn't kicked on from that effort since, though, given another try in cheekpieces (now discarded) when last of 6 at Epsom 16 days ago.
Won 7f Wolverhampton handicap in January for Jane Chapple-Hyam but form has been mixed for new connections, down the field at Chester 13 days ago on his second try at around this trip.

Amidst The Chaos (11/4), Project Geofin (11/4), Qitaal (4/1), Canvas (6/1), Poet's Dawn (17/2), Echalar (9/1), Moonjid (14/1)
PROJECT GEOFIN has yet to fire this season, but is now back down to the same mark as winning this race last year so is worth another chance following a breathing operation. Poet's Dawn isn't taken lightly, though in his bid for a 4-timer, with Canvas another to consider from a handy mark.
