Landed 7f Doncaster handicap in June. Has continued in good form and looked an unlucky loser when second of 6 in claimer at Chester 10 days ago, just failing having conceded first run. Weighted to go close back in handicap company.
Back to winning ways at Wetherby (7f) in June but not in same form in handicaps at Chester and Thirsk on his last 2 runs. Bounce back is needed.
A 3-time C&D winner, including in this 12 months ago. Good second of 4 in handicap at Pontefract (6f, good to firm) 17 days ago. Back up in trip now and a likely player with usual cheekpieces back on.
Gained a third win this year over C&D in July. Found good run of form coming to a halt when seventh of 8 in handicap at Chester 18 days ago. The sort to bounce back.
Ended a long losing run over C&D in May. In good nick subsequently until twelfth of 15 in handicap at Thirsk (7f, good) 11 days ago when going freely. Can get back on track.
Bagged handicaps (at up to 1m) at Chester and Pontefract last June. Off 10 months before beating only one in 22-runner handicap at York (7f, good) on reappearance in May. Usual tongue tie is reapplied after another break.
Recorded second win of the season over C&D in June. Has finished runner-up 3 times since, latest when clear of rest (in first-time cheekpieces) in all-weather handicap at Lingfield (7f) 4 days ago. Can go well again off an unchanged mark.
Scored at Newcastle (1m) in January but his more recent form is not so encouraging, just sixth of 8 in handicap at Redcar (1¼m, good) 14 days ago. Needs to get back on track.
Back to winning ways when making all at Catterick (7f) in July. Came in last of 5 in handicap at Ripon (1m, good to firm) 16 days ago though. Not proving easy to catch right.
Gained a deserved victory in 7f handicap at Carlisle in July. Backed it up with a solid fourth of 7 at Redcar (1m, good) 14 days ago. Ought to be in the shake-up once more.
Last year's Great St Wilfrid winner who has largely struggled despite a tumbling mark on turf in recent months. Others appeal more.

Forecasts
Alpha Capture (3/1), Bell Shot (4/1), Tattie Bogle (5/1), Homestrait (5/1), Highland Olly (10/1), Beyond The Bar (12/1), Glenfinnan (14/1), Obelix (14/1), Flying Fletcher (14/1), Style Of Life (20/1), Intervention (33/1)
ALPHA CAPTURE looked unlucky not to double his tally for 2026 when runner-up in a Chester claimer last time and can make amends off a lenient-looking mark now back in handicap company. Bell Shot took this contest in 2024 and is feared most on the back of a good Pontefract second, although in-form duo Tattie Bogle and Homestrait can also play a prominent role in this competitive handicap.
