Won his first 2 starts after joining Marco Botti, including at Newmarket in April. Disappointed in the Italian Derby in June but shaped as if back in form when fourth of 6 at Newmarket (July course) last month, short of room and finishing with running left. One for the shortlist.
Progressive filly who won at Redcar and Chester before completing her hat-trick over C&D last month by a short-head. Up another 5 lb but has not yet reached her ceiling and another bold bid is anticipated.
Yarmouth 2-y-o maiden winner but has stepped up in handicaps, finishing third of 14 in a warm event at York in May before second at Wolverhampton 15 days later. Sold for £170,000 afterwards but ran no sort of race on recent stable debut. Wears first-time visor.
Fairly useful maiden who disappointed in King George V Stakes at Royal Ascot on handicap debut but got firmly back on track when neck second over C&D last time. Up 3 lb in a tougher race now, though.
Fairly useful gelding who's made the frame in all 5 starts this season and has been runner-up on 3 of his last 4, including in a 1½m 6-runner maiden at the Curragh on latest. Improvement required now back in a handicap with first-time cheekpieces applied.
Looked suited by patient tactics when ready winner of a 5-runner 1½m Doncaster handicap last month and backed that up when length second in similar event at Salisbury 7 days later. Capable of being involved.
Made a promising start in handicaps, scoring at Redcar in April before doubling his tally in 6-runner 1½m event at Thirsk in June. Found a 6-lb penalty anchoring him at Sandown next time, though, and ran below form taking on his elders for the first time in 1¾m event at this course last month.
Left his first 2 runs behind to win 4-runner novice at Newcastle (1¼m) in January. Better than result both starts since, left with too much to do 1½ lengths second in 1½m handicap at Chester last time. Not yet fully exposed, but this represents toughest task to date.
Decisive winner of a nursery at Pontefract (1m, heavy) at the end of last season and turned in a career-best effort when second of 4 in handicap (5/1) at Chepstow (1½m, good to firm) in July. Refused to settle back in a deeper race over C&D last time, though, and needs to bounce back.
Showed improved form to get off the mark in 4-runner 1½m handicap at Chepstow in July for Andrew Balding. Made a satisfactory start for current connections despite hanging right when 2½ lengths third of 4 in 1¾m at Sandown last time, but this requires more.

Forecasts
Hoseki (13/8), Archers Bay (5/2), Pierre Grosse (13/2), King Of Berkshire (8/1), Blue Hercules (10/1), Level Look (18/1), Royal Poetry (25/1), Baltic Fleet (28/1), Ohara (33/1), Last Verse (66/1)
HOSEKI is firmly on the up and is taken to defy a 5 lb rise to complete the 4-timer. Archers Bay finished with running left when short of room at Newmarket last time and rates the main danger, while Level Look has had excuses on his last 2 starts and may still have more to offer.
