British EBF Novice Stakes (GBB Race)

Supremacy colt who was clued up enough to cause a surprise when winning 10-runner novice at Wolverhampton (6f) on debut. Possibly unsuited by firm ground or feeling the effects of a quick turnaround when only tenth of 11 in a similar race at Bath since but more likely needed.

Modest form in C&D maiden/novices in recent weeks. Will be better off in nurseries.

Son of Cotai Glory is from a decent family but was unable to sustain his effort after running hopelessly green when sixth of 8 in novice at Yarmouth (6f, good) on debut 68 days ago. Gelded since that outing and he should do better.

Placed on all 3 starts to date, stepping up from debut when 1¼ lengths second of 5 to subsequent Superlative Stakes winner Al Hudaiba in 7f novice at Newmarket (July) last month. Possibly undone by a 3-week turnaround when third of 6 at Salisbury (7f) 16 days ago but is worth another chance.

Beaten just a head at Newbury on debut and got back on track when going down by the same narrow margin in a Salisbury novice (6f, heavy) last month. Stuck to his task despite not seeming to relish quicker ground when filling the same positing in a similar race there 4 weeks ago. Cheekpieces go on.

Due Diligence gelding looked a longer-term prospect when last of 12 in novice at this C&D (good to firm) on debut 14 days ago.

Prominent in the betting but hasn't seen his race out in a novice and a maiden, both at this C&D.
