Went close at Musselburgh (7f, good to firm) last month. Too keen to last home on soft ground at Ayr since. Probably still in form but this stiff 7f is at the limit of his stamina.
Newcastle novice winner last year. Went as close as he has in handicaps when runner-up over C&D (soft) in May but below par at Beverley and Southwell since.
Yet to win in handicaps but arrives on the back of some creditable placed efforts. Can make her presence felt.
Has mostly struggled since his 7f Newcastle win in December. Well handicapped but whether he can be relied upon to take advantage is another matter.
Best effort this year when fourth in 6f handicap at Newmarket in May. Not in the same form twice since but given a chance by the handicapper and John Ryan got back among the winners at Ayr earlier in the week.
Lightly-raced 3-y-o who ran his best race when close third at Thirsk (6f, good) last month. Unsuited by a drop to 5f at Newcastle since. Showed promise over 7f at the start of his career. Considered.
Can look a bit awkward but did get his head in front at Southwell (6f) last autumn. Also went close over 6f here in May and another decent Carlisle effort when third over 6f last Saturday. Back up in trip.
Fair form at best in 3 qualifying runs on all-weather at the start of the year. Off 4 months (gelded), may have needed recent Newbury handicap debut but needed to see more to consider him here.
Showed fair form without winning in France. Shaped quite nicely when sixth on C&D stable debut and didn't get the chance to show what she could do (met trouble) when filling the same position at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) last Friday. Considered.
Still a maiden but good second of 9 in handicap at Musselburgh (7f, good to firm) 17 days ago. Player off the same mark.

Black Storm (2/1), Supreme Clarets (10/3), Albeseeingyer (9/2), Homestrait (7/1), Fan Mail (7/1), Judicature (10/1), Yaaser (12/1), Sailor's Return (12/1), Ecclefechan (14/1), Record Day (14/1), Top Lad (16/1), Dakota Breeze (66/1)
SAILOR'S RETURN had her path blocked throughout the penultimate 1f at Doncaster last week and there was enough in that performance to think her mark could be workable granted a smoother passage. Supreme Clarets is drawn wider than ideal but is still feared most on the back of his good Musselburgh second. Brian Ellison pair Homestrait and Record Day also make the shortlist.
