Banshof¹¹

Age: 4| Weight: 10-2| J: Robbie Colgan| T: M J Smith

66/1

Well-bred Hello Youmzain gelding who cost 260,000 gns as a yearling but failed to make it to the track for the Crisford stable and sold for just 2,500 gns in October. Needed experience but has shown some ability in 2 maidens so far, but likely to be seen to much better effect when handicapping.

Bamako Beach⁴⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: Colin Keane| T: M O'Callaghan| OR: 102

4/11

Showed plenty when just denied in maidens at Naas and Gowran and wasn't disgraced having been set a very stiff task when 7 lengths seventh of 9 to Gstaad in Irish 2000 Guineas at the Curragh (1m, good to firm) 46 days ago. The one to beat

Form: 2-27

(4)

Chloe's Boy¹⁴

€220,000 yearling, Dark Angel gelding. Brother to useful 7f winner Dark Tornado and half-brother to 3 winners, including 7f winner Raintree and 1¼m-1½m winner Marie Paradis. Makes plenty of appeal on paper for leading yard.

Form:

(12)

Coolshine¹⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: James Ryan| T: K A Heffernan

300/1

Dandy Man gelding didn't pose any threat in 2 maidens last month.

16/1

Into Mischief colt who showed plenty despite inexperience when third of 10 in minor event at Dundalk (6f) on debut. Off for 6 months since but should improve for top yard.

Form: 3

(6)

Shay's Dream²⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: Nathan Crosse| T: J P O'Brien

50/1

Seemingly being brought along gradually when down the field in 2 maidens 7 months apart.

Form: 0-0

(9)

Sindagan⁷⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: Ben Coen| T: J P Murtagh| OR: 83

10/3

Promise when reaching the frame on all 4 starts and would've finished a place better had his rider not dropped his hands prematurely when third of 7 in maiden at Gowran (7f, soft) 77 days ago. Should go well again.

Form: 34-23

(7)

Storzando

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: Wesley Joyce⁽³⁾| T: M Mulvany

66/1

River Boyne gelding. Brother to 5f winner Boyne Lady. Dam twice-raced half-sister to smart winner up to 1½m Centennial out of smart 7f winner Lurina. Betting will prove best guide on debut.

Form:

(1)

Thumama Sands¹⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: Adam Caffrey| T: A McGuinness

300/1

Footstepsinthesand gelding has looked a longer term prospect when well held at very long odds in 2 maidens.

Form: 00

(13)

Goomah⁴⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-3| J: Wayne Lordan| T: N Lupini| OR: 74

10/1

Stepped up juvenile efforts when ¾-length third of 9 in maiden at Leopardstown on return but much too free on handicap bow at the Curragh last time. Best form would give her frame claims here, though.

Form: 76-30

(5)

Little Sure Shot^b¹⁰²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-3| J: Billy Lee| T: H De Bromhead| OR: 72

40/1

Shaped with promise when second in 6-runner maiden at Leopardstown on debut last summer but disappointing since, including tried in first-time blinkers on return in March.

Form: 270-6

Forecasts

Bamako Beach (4/11), Sindagan (10/3), Goomah (10/1), Cladach (14/1), Passage Of Power (16/1), Little Sure Shot (40/1), Shay's Dream (50/1), Storzando (66/1), Banshof (66/1), Auguste Gusteau (150/1), Pettus Bridge (200/1), Farewell To Arms (200/1), Coolshine (300/1), Thumama Sands (300/1), Chloe's Boy (300/1)

BAMAKO BEACH was last seen contesting the Irish 2000 Guineas and should prove difficult to beat back in these calmer waters. Passage of Power and Sindagan look the best of the rest, whilst Joseph O'Brien's newcomer Cladach is worth noting in the betting.
