Still a maiden, although he blatantly failed to stay 1¼m when last of 10 at Nottingham 29 days ago. Eased another 4 lb (takes a big drop in class) and this test much more suitable. Also has first-time blinkers added to his tongue tie.

Placed at Newcastle in January on final outing for Roger Varian. Struggled in 4 all-weather starts for new yard but better signs back on turf when sixth of 18 at Doncaster (1m, good to firm) 18 days ago. Well treated if he can build on that.

Again gave hope that he could soon capitalise on a falling mark when third over 6f here last month. Not disgraced in a big field at Newmarket (6f again) since but has spent the vast majority of his 49-race career as a sprinter (below par in 3 7f runs) so today's trip is a big question mark.
|
Habitual slow starter who returned from 4 months off to win at Chelmsford (7f) in January. Back from another similar length of break with respectable third of 10 over C&D (good to soft) 7 weeks ago. Has a more solid profile than the rest of these.
|
Opened account for present trainer at Kempton in December but has failed to fire since. His mark has come down as a result but need to see more.
|
Long-standing maiden who has shown little on both starts for this yard on the back of a breathing operation. Headgear back on.
|
Still a maiden and she came in a below-par seventh of 10 on her 1¼m course return in April. Needs to get back on track after a further 65 days off.

Forecasts
Campani (9/4), Midnight's Dream (3/1), Mart (9/2), Luminous Warrior (5/1), Give Me The Night (5/1), Sporty Socks (16/1), Shaws Phoenix (28/1)
MIDNIGHT'S DREAM is now 13 lb below his last winning mark and is given a chance to build on a more encouraging run last time. Campani has finished in the first 3 on 5 of his 7 handicap starts, including 2 wins, and should go well. The class-dropping Give Me The Night is another likely to have a say if putting his best foot forward.
