Starman filly who impressively landed a gamble in Bath (5f) novice on debut in April. Runner-up both starts since, latest at Wetherby 28 days ago. This step up to 6f is likely to suit.
Chased home the subsequent Coventry Stakes runner-up at Newmarket in April on second start before putting his experience to good use to go one better in 4-runner maiden at Pontefract later that month. Looks to have been laid out for a nursery campaign.
Has stepped up his form with a pair of runner-up efforts on his last 2 starts, latterly in maiden over C&D (good to firm) 7 days ago. Yard has had a good time of it with it's 2-y-os this season and he has to be taken seriously with the cheekpieces added on first nursery start.
Made run-to-run progress which culminated in opening her account at Newbury (6f, good to firm) 9 days ago with the fitting of first-time cheekpieces. A 6 lb penalty for that demands a further chunk of improvement.
Green on first 2 outings but showed more when fifth in a Sandown novice (5f, good to soft) 20 days ago. Has a fair bit to find from a stiff-looking opening mark, though.
Green when in mid-division on first 2 of 3 starts, including over C&D on debut, and never looked like landing a gamble at Sandown (5f) last month (Courseyoudo in fifth). Needs to bounce back.
Found improvement under a more positive ride when third of 10 in maiden at Newcastle (7f, 7/1) last week. The drop back to 6f seems like a good move, assuming he comes in for a similar ride, and he isn't taken lightly with the cheekpieces reached for now switched to a nursery.
Best effort in 4 outings came when fouth of 5 at this course over 5f, beaten less than 2 lengths. Wasn't completely disgraced when fifth at Bath last month in first-time cheekpieces (tries a visor this time) but seems set for a minor role at best.

Forecasts
Innichen (5/2), Ziggy Starshine (11/4), Koodini (9/2), Havana Grey Star (15/2), Ponte Carlo (9/1), Invincible Isaac (9/1), Courseyoudo (14/1), Yahaira (18/1)
INNICHEN's early season form looks stronger now than it did then and he can land the first nursery of the season on return from a short break. Ponte Carlo can claim second with headgear added, while Ziggy Starshine and Koodini are also others to consider.
- Innichen5/2
- Ponte Carlo9/1
