Adel⁴³

Age: 3| Weight: 9-10| J: Jamie Powell| T: M O'Callaghan| OR: 76| C

9/2

Upped markedly in trip and produced a big career best when winning 13-runner handicap at this course (1½m, good to soft) 43 days ago, always holding on. Raced freely on that occasion so drop back in distance shouldn't pose a problem. One to consider.

Form: 667-871

(1)

Honouramongthieves¹⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: Chris Hayes| T: Kevin Coleman| OR: 73

18/1

Fitted with cheekpieces for first time and took a major backward step when last of 7 in handicap at Newbury (1½m, good to soft) 19 days ago. Bounce back called for returned to Ireland.

Form: 62-5667

(3)

Nermal⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: Ben Coen| T: A Slattery| OR: 72| BF

5/2

Failed to land the odds but produced best effort yet when third at Ballinrobe (9.5f, good to soft) 8 days ago. Makes handicap debut and this mark should be within range.

Form: 5223

(6)

Rapide Vega^p1¹⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-4| J: Shane Foley| T: Mrs J Harrington| OR: 70

11/2

Some promise in maidens and showed more on second handicap start (gelded) when second of 5 at Gowran. Current mark isn't obviously generous and cheekpieces now go on.

Form: 04-582

(2)

Freedom And Light²⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Declan McDonogh| T: J S Bolger| OR: 68

40/1

Has only the one piece of form to think that she's close to her current mark. Others more persuasive.

Form: 9-8467

(9)

Vantage Code³²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Leigh Roche| T: E Mullins| OR: 68

5/1

Looks much too high in the weights on what he's achieved so far.

Form: 667-07

(4)

Second Line^b1¹¹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-13| J: Keithen Kennedy⁽⁵⁾| T: Mrs J Harrington| OR: 65

22/1

Bred to be useful but minor promise only so far. Still early days and he now goes handicapping with blinkers on.

Form: 0-886

(8)

Dont Get Me Wrong⁵⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 8-12| J: J Cleary⁽⁵⁾| T: Gerard O'Leary| OR: 64

33/1

Didn't need to improve to get off the mark in Dundalk claimer in November. Ran to a similar level on first outing since leaving Kevin Thomas Coleman the following month and chance he needed the run on last month's return to action switched to turf.

Form: 0518-9

(5)

Ella's Gold¹⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-9| J: Wesley Joyce⁽³⁾| T: M J Smith| OR: 61| BF

5/1

Has finished runner-up on 3 of 4 starts in handicaps, latest in 17-runner race at Leopardstown 19 days ago. Of interest up 2 lb.

Form: 7022-02

Forecasts

Nermal (5/2), Adel (9/2), Vantage Code (5/1), Ella's Gold (5/1), Rapide Vega (11/2), Iamimmaculate (8/1), Honouramongthieves (18/1), Second Line (22/1), Dont Get Me Wrong (33/1), Freedom And Light (40/1)

NERMAL boasts the right sort of profile for this handicap debut having improved gradually in his 4-race career so far and he looks the pick of the weights. Ella's Gold has been knocking on the door and she can remain competitive, along with Adel.
