Resumed winning ways in 9-runner handicap at Beverley (5f) 24 days ago. Well on top at the finish there so he's not taken lightly despite a 6 lb rise.

Low-mileage 4-y-o. Resumed from 11 months off with good C&D second but a below-par fifth in 5f Thirsk handicap last time. Tried in different headgear (blinkers) now.

Back to winning ways in 8-runner handicap at Newcastle (5f) 18 days ago on her final run for David O'Meara. Blinkers replace usual visor and not out of things for his new yard.

Behind all 3 starts in 2025 for Richard Fahey last summer and fared no better after 10 months off for his new yard in 7f Carlisle novice last month. Not easy to make a case for on his handicap debut.

C&D winner. Hinted at a revival with third of 7 to Wee Mary in handicap at Musselburgh (5f) 14 days ago, making up her ground very quickly. Dropped to a handy mark and not without interest.

Yet to build on a promising debut fourth, including when last of 11 in 5f Newcastle handicap in April. Blinkers go on.

C&D winner. Looked unlucky not to collect when beaten a head in 9-runner handicap at Wetherby (5.5f) 5 days ago, having to wait for a gap 2f out from a wide draw. Weighted to go one better off an unchanged mark.

Forecasts

Ski Angel (6/5), Wee Mary (3/1), King Of The Jungle (4/1), Royal Duke (9/1), Henery Hawk (10/1), Supremissy (10/1), Keep The Gold (16/1), Auntie Jo (20/1), Bonito Cavalo (20/1), Regal Dream (40/1), Great Profit (66/1)

Verdict

SKI ANGEL looked an unfortunate loser at Wetherby 5 days ago and this C&D scorer can quickly gain compensation off the same mark. Stablemate Royal Duke took a step back in the right direction when third at Musselburgh and is next on the list off a lenient-looking mark, although recent scorers King of The Jungle and Wee Mary seem sure to be on the premises, too.
