Turned in best effort for a good while when scoring in decisive fashion at Lingfield under this rider last week, seemingly helped by the drop back down in grade and refitting of headgear. Escapes a penalty so the one to beat despite the shorter distance being a slight concern around here.

C&D winner who returned from 4 months off with a good third at Doncaster in March. Yet to build on that but has now dipped below last winning mark.
Some promise in 3 novices last season but failed to settle switched to handicaps this spring.
Enhanced his excellent record at Beverley this season with back-to-back wins last month before good second there 16 days ago. Respected in current mood.
Has returned an improved performer, winning at Southwell and Thirsk last month. Good third when bidding for the hat-trick at Newcastle 10 days ago and can go well again.
Winless since his debut at Newcastle but went very close at Chelmsford in March. Not in same form at Kempton following month and given a break since.
Left debut behind when winning heavy-ground 5f maiden at Nottingham over 2 years ago but well held all 4 starts since, including on yard debut/return.
Scored at Southwell in January and was back to his best to gain a second Chepstow success last month. Found only a class dropper too good there since and he's back down in grade himself now.
Reached the frame in 2 all-weather handicaps for James Ferguson but hasn't shaped with masses of promise in 5 starts for Ivan Furtado. Drops in distance starting out for Alan Brown.
Dual 7f turf scorer last summer and looked back to her best when second of 16 at Doncaster in April, weaving her way through from 2f out. Player if getting the breaks.
Won 3 times for current yard last year and arguably unlucky not to add to his tally at Doncaster in April. Turned in one of his lesser efforts at Redcar since but was reported to have lost a left-hind shoe.

OMAN is unpenalised for his recent win at Goodwood so can get away with the drop in distance. In-form pair Dapper Gee Gee and Military Leader are feared most.
