Gelded and looked a really good prospect when scoring readily at Haydock (6f) in September. Not seen to best effect on his return when ninth of 13 in handicap at Newmarket (6f) last month, hampered over 1f out and not knocked about. Remains one to be interested in with cheekpieces added.
A dual 6f winner for Paul Attwater last autumn. Has edged back down the weights and produced another creditable effort when sixth of 14 in handicap at Newbury (6f, good, 33/1) 14 days ago. Return to a stiff track over this trip will suit and the booking of Marquand catches the eye.
Veteran who proved a revelation in 2024, winning 7 times and climbing over 30 lb in the weights. Showed he's back on a workable mark when second at Newmarket in April and sixth of 28 in Victoria Cup at Ascot, though didn't look suited by drop back in trip when down the field at Hamilton 13 days ago.
3-time winner in handicaps last year, responding well to cheekpieces when scoring at Newcastle in November. Hasn't landed a blow in 3 starts so far this season though, so change of headgear (first-time visor) needs to have significant effect.
Doubled his tally for 2025 at Ayr in September prior to making the frame in 2 competitive Doncaster handicaps. Runner-up at Newcastle on return and hasn't really been seen to maximum effect in 3 starts since, so no surprise if he's in better form than recent figures suggest.
Looked like one who can make up for lost time when returning from a year off to easily win a 7f Newcastle novice in March. Quickly back on track when second in an 8-runner handicap at that same C&D 29 days ago, headed late on after not doing much in front. Still relatively unexposed.
On a losing run but has finished placed 3 times already this season. clear of the rest when second of 14 in handicap at Newcastle (6f) at the start of April. Couldn't capitalise on a lower turf mark when down the field at Leicester 5 weeks ago, though.
Off mark at Wolverhampton last May. Stepped up on his return when respectable fourth of 9 in handicap at Windsor (5f, good to firm) 12 days ago, unable to sustain effort having made his challenge widest of all. Not one to write off with his mark eased 2 lb.
Steadily progressive during 2025, finishing out of the places only once. Showed plenty of zip when fourth at Kempton on return and was edged out only late on at Ripon last time. Will remain competitive from 1 lb higher.
Added 2 victories to his tally last year and returned from 3 months off with an excellent second at Pontefract (5f, soft) 6 weeks ago, poorly drawn but finding the race run to suit. Failed to build on that when mid-field at Doncaster 2 weeks ago, though, so bounce back is required.
Enhanced fine record at Newcastle with back-to-back 6f wins there on first 2 starts this season. Fared best of those that forced the pace when third of 9 at Ripon (6f, good) 3 weeks ago and he holds solid place claims again from unchanged mark.
Four-time winner last year and showed the benefit of this season's reappearance run when second in 9-runner handicap at Thirsk earlier in the month. Always around mid-field in a more competitive event at York (6f, good) last week and others perhaps hold stronger claims.
Took advantage of a drop in the weights at Newcastle in December but hasn't troubled the judge in 4 starts since, including when mid-field at York 2 weeks ago.
Finally off the mark at Ayr last summer and produced a career-best effort back at 7f to double his tally in a handicap there 10 days ago. Primarily campaigned over further, so it's interesting that connections are now trying a sprint trip.

BROSAY arrives following a couple of solid efforts in higher grades than this and with the stiff 6f likely to play to his strengths, he gets the verdict with Tom Marquand taking the ride. Realign could still be a high-quality handicapper and he has to be respected in first-time cheekpieces, whilst Wild Clary has been shaping up well of late and completes the shortlist.
