Didn't need to improve to get off the mark at the fourth attempt in 5f maiden at Newcastle in November. Shaped as though in need of the run on reappearance/handicap debut at Catterick (6f) 17 days ago.
Promising third at Leicester on debut in October but has merely matched that form in 3 starts since, still not looking the finished article when fifth on handicap debut/reappearance 3 weeks ago. Cheekpieces may help in that regard.
Placed on 6 of 8 juvenile starts, weakening out of it on heavy ground when last seen at Nottingham in October. Back from 7 months off and has moved yards in the interim (also gelded).
Reacted well to a visor when close second on 7f Haydock nursery debut for Charlie Clover in September. Has had excuses since and with the return to 6f very much in his favour, he's on the shortlist.
Fair maiden (trained by Richard Hannon first 6 starts). Looked hard ride when last seen in November starting out for this yard and also too free on reappearance at Doncaster.
Failed to meet market expectations in a trio of 2-y-o outings. Brushed aside on reappearance/handicap debut over 7f at Leicester and has plenty to prove back sprinting.
Hasn't come close to matching 2-y-o form for Clive Cox both starts for this yard on the all-weather in January.
Won a claimer on second start at Beverley a year ago. Better form when placed 3 times in nurseries after and having shaped quite well on reappearance, his latest run is easy to excuse.
Capitalised on drop in grade with cheekpieces fitted when landing 9-runner C&D handicap 11 days ago. Shoulders 6 lb penalty but he's clearly in good order.
Bred to be a sprinter and returned to 6f, he left his qualifying form behind when making a successful handicap debut at Hamilton 4 weeks ago. Came up just a neck shy in follow-up bid over C&D 11 days ago and holds major claims from the same mark.
Couldn't build on a promising final qualifying run when disappointing on return/handicap debut at Newcastle (6f) and again too free with a tongue tie fitted over 7f at Southwell 3 weeks ago.

Forecasts
Simba's Pride (9/4), North West Gal (4/1), Black Missile (7/1), Solar Cooper (7/1), Head For Freedom (8/1), Valor Spirit (9/1), Northern Tempest (14/1), Come On Over (16/1), Great Success (20/1), Country Artiste (28/1), Uncertainty (50/1)
Having made a successful handicap debut at the beginning of the month, SIMBA'S PRIDE did very little wrong when a rallying second over C&D 11 days ago. From an unchanged mark, he looks the answer, with Come On Over (back over 6f) and North West Gal heading the opposition.
