Yet to score but he shaped well when fourth of 9 in handicap here (1m) 26 days ago, making effort earlier than ideal. Very much one to consider with cheekpieces added.

16/1, best run when second of 6 in maiden at Ripon (6f) 18 days ago, though he didn't look easiest of rides. Needs another step forward now handicapping.

Arrives in decent nick, a never-nearer fifth of 6 in handicap at Wolverhampton (6f) 18 days ago. This step up to 7f should suit so she's no forlorn hope.

Positive Thoughts (4/1), Territorial Star (9/2), Kameko Fever (9/2), Thornaby Annie (7/1), Long Shot (17/2), Willowinghurn (17/2), Resdev Time (9/1), Hunterian (12/1), Menwirr (14/1), Rousham (16/1), Sweet Echo (22/1), Stromness (50/1), A Boy Named Mary (80/1)

Verdict

THORNABY ANNIE looked an unlucky loser when runner-up at Doncaster last time, denied a clear run, and Adrian Nicholls' filly can go one better off just a 1 lb higher mark. Kameko Fever is next on the list on the back of a promising fourth here with Territorial Star and Menwirr also in the mix with better likely to come.
