Charles Darwin²²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: R L Moore| T: A P O'Brien| OR: 110| C| D

1/1

Highly progressive and exciting at 2, completing a hat-trick in 15-runner Norfolk at Royal Ascot (5f, firm, 8/13) in June. Picked up where he left off when readily winning 6f Navan listed race on reappearance and he'll be hard to beat again.

Form: 4111-1

Chicago Call²²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: Seamie Heffernan| T: J P Murtagh| OR: 97| D

28/1

Useful performer but 2¾ lengths sixth of 7 to Charles Darwin in listed race at Navan (6f, good) 22 days ago and hard to see him troubling that reopposing rival.

Form: 4620-56

(5)

Havana Anna¹⁹⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Gavin Ryan| T: Donnacha O'Brien| OR: 113| C

9/4

Won a maiden and listed race over 5f here last summer. Better form when runner-up in a Longchamp Group 3 and the Group 1 Cheveley Park at Newmarket. Had excuses at the Breeders' Cup on final outing. Should go well on return.

Form: 211220-

(7)

Josh's Joy⁴⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Chris Hayes| T: Donnacha O'Brien| OR: 86| CD

18/1

C&D maiden winner last autumn. Creditable seventh of 16 in handicap (10/3) at the Curragh (6f, heavy) on reappearance 44 days ago, not ideally placed. Plenty to find on form at this level.

Form: 3231-7

Kindergarten²²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Shane Foley| T: Mrs J Harrington| OR: 93| D

20/1

Made a winning start in 14-runner Navan maiden (6f, soft) last autumn. Good 1½ lengths fourth of 7 to Charles Darwin in listed race there on reappearance 22 days ago. Open to further progress.

Form: 1-4

(8)

Oh Cecelia^h¹⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Billy Lee| T: K J Condon| OR: 89| C

50/1

Fairly useful course scorer. Latest win at Cork in April. Below form 9½ lengths third of 8 to Royal Bay Cen in listed race back at Cork (5.5f, heavy, 7/2) 14 days ago. Plenty to find at this level.

Form: 6-61513

(1)

Royal Bay Cen¹⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Ben Coen| T: J P Murtagh| OR: 107| D

7/1

Looked an exciting new recruit for Johnny Murtagh when 9-length winner of 5.5f Cork listed race on reappearance. Can give Charles Darwin most to think about.

Form: 11445-1

(6)

Tahcawin⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Gary Carroll| T: J G Murphy| OR: 87| D

14/1

Fairly useful filly. Good second of 14 in C&D handicap (good) 8 days ago but this demands a lot more.

Form: 4610-52

Forecasts

Charles Darwin (1/1), Havana Anna (9/4), Royal Bay Cen (7/1), Tahcawin (14/1), Josh's Joy (18/1), Kindergarten (20/1), Chicago Call (28/1), Oh Cecelia (50/1)

CHARLES DARWIN wasn't fully extended when completing a 4-timer on his Navan reappearance and should take some stopping again. Royal Bay Cen bolted up in a Cork listed event on her first start for Johnny Murtagh and can give the selection most to do ahead of reappearing Cheveley Park runner-up Havana Anna.
