Blue Point gelding who did well last season, winning twice (including here, 1m) and runner-up 4 times, though can sometimes flatter to deceive. Remains on a fair mark as he starts the new campaign and should be bang there again.

German maiden winner for Andreas Schutz (sold for for €35,000) but made a low-key start for this yard at Musselburgh on return. Will find this trip more suitable at least.
Mostly disappointed after his good fifth in the John Smith's Cup at York last summer but he's dropped to his last winning mark and should come on for his return.
Enhanced good record fresh when close third at Lingfield in February but failed to make a significant impact since.
Scored at Newcastle (1m) in January and some good efforts in defeat since. Finished with running left at Musselburgh last time so worth another go at this longer trip.
Didn't manage a win in 2025 for Richard Fahey but took advantage of reduced mark when making a winning return for new yard here (1m) 12 days ago. always holding on. Respected under a penalty over this extra 1f.
Backed up his Thirsk win at the second attempt when third there on return but was bit too free over this sort of trip at Ripon last summer. Hooded this time.
Sole win came over C&D in September, though was rather fortunate on the day. Might have needed the run at Newcastle on return and drop back to this trip will suit.
Went the right way in 3 starts in Germany last year, opening account in 9f minor event at Cologne. Looked very rusty following 11 months on the sidelines when starting out for this yard here 12 days ago and this should reveal more.
Narrow winner at Ayr last summer off 1 lb higher. Well backed when a good second at Catterick on return but not in same form at Musselburgh 19 days ago.

Forecasts
Draupnir (18/5), Qitaal (4/1), Austrian Theory (4/1), Obito (13/2), Flying Fletcher (15/2), Quiet Resolve (17/2), Tee Aitch Aye (14/1), Sanafi Zabeel (16/1), Salam Dubawi (18/1), Naturalia (33/1)
OBITO is a force at this level so can make a winning return off a fair mark. Austrian Theory is becoming well handicapped and should step up on his return, while Flying Fletcher has been shaping up nicely and is worth another go at this longer trip.

- Flying Fletcher15/2
