Improved to win a Brighton maiden last October and having been flying too high in the Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud on his final juvenile start, resumed progress with a handicap debut success over 1¼m on the all-weather here. Likely to struggle back up in grade, though.

Half-brother to connections' smart winner up to 1½m Claymore, he confirmed the promise of his debut third behind Maltese Cross when successful at Kempton on return. Showed improved form when third in the Blue Riband at Epsom last time. Has the scope to progress again upped in trip.
Looked a smart stayer in the making when landing a double with ease at Redcar on final juvenile start. He's in excellent hands and with the step up in trip expected to suit, could improve again in his bid for a hat-trick.
Camelot colt got off the mark in a valuable Glorious Goodwood maiden and ended his 2-y-o season with a useful fourth in the Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud. Expected to be sharper for his reappearance fourth in listed company at Newmarket and merits plenty of respect upped in trip by powerful yard.
Striking debut success at Kempton was backed up by the clock and was again most impressive when making it 2-2 in a Newmarket novice on return. Interesting to see how he copes with a markedly different track, but nevertheless remains a fine prospect, with scope for significant improvement to come.
Son of Sea The Stars went one better than on debut in a strong Newmarket maiden last September and needed every inch of 1¼m to follow up in a valuable novice at Newbury on reappearance. Sure to appreciate the longer trip and looks a potentially smart one for his excellent yard.

Forecasts
Maho Bay (11/8), Maltese Cross (9/4), Isaac Newton (4/1), Bay Of Brilliance (15/2), Balzac (22/1), A Taste of Glory (33/1)
An interesting Derby trial, despite a small field, and Godolphin's exciting prospect MAHO BAY may extend his winning sequence. The dangers are headed by Aidan O'Brien's Isaac Newton, who may prove a different proposition over a longer trip with a run under his belt, while hat-trick seeking Maltese Cross could be smart and will relish the extra distance.
