Only 1 lb higher than when landing his fourth success of the year at Southwell last August and a bold bid is expected, following a promising reappearance when sixth of 14 in a stronger race at Musselburgh.
Dual C&D winner was too free to justify favouritism in a similar event on the all-weather on his latest start, and is probably capable of better, provided he isn't too lit up by first-time blinkers (replacing cheekpieces).
Admirable veteran confirmed he's still of fairly useful merit when runner-up on reappearance at Ripon and he cannot be totally discounted down in grade.
Delivered late when narrowly denied on stable debut at Newcastle in March and while he didn't back that up at Musselburgh last time, it's still very early days for a yard who often excel with this type.
On a long losing run but ran a stormer to finish close third on return from 4 months off at Haydock last September. Plausible excuses for both starts the following month and having been freshened up, he should go well.
Extended a losing run stretching back to 2024 when fifth of 9 in a C&D handicap last time, though he's still feasibly treated on the best of his form.
Still 6 lb lower than when last successful at this track in April 2025, though he was taken off his feet early when runner-up over C&D last time, for all that looked a solid handicap for the grade.

Trilby (9/4), Canon's House (3/1), Copper Knight (4/1), Hundred Caps (9/2), Master Of My Fate (8/1), Ventura Express (12/1), Emerald Harmony (14/1), Hedge Fund (14/1)
CANON'S HOUSE shaped well in a higher grade on return and may well open his account for the season, provided he isn't caught up in an early battle for the lead. Hedge Fund often goes well fresh and could be next best, while Emerald Harmony is worth another chance in a race that'll likely be run to suit.
