Held Group races entries as a juvenile and got off the mark at the second attempt in a 13-runner novice at Thirsk in August. Bumped into a useful prospect at Ayr next time and he should improve in handicaps this season.
Promising second on debut at Pontefract and got back on track after 4 months off (gelded) when winning an 8-runner Southwell maiden (7f) in December. Off since but opening mark looks workable and booking of Marquand rates as a positive.
Made a winning debut at Pontefract in August but isn't the biggest and didn't really kick on after at 2 yrs. Produced his best effort this season when second at Southwell (7f) 3 weeks ago but may remain vulnerable to less-exposed types.
Placed 3 times prior to getting off mark at Dundalk (1m) in November. Bumped into potentially above-average rival when second there the following month and is respected now making handicap debut for new yard (formerly trained by G. M. Lyons),
Progressive in trio of starts for George Boughey, showing a sharp turn of foot to win 4-runner Newcastle maiden in October. Always behind in listed race at Lingfield on return for new yard and will need to step forward from that effort now handicapping.
Left debut form behind when winning 11-runner maiden over 6f at Dundalk in November. Changed hands for 34,500 gns after and improved again on debut for Haslam by winning a 10-runner novice at Southwell (7f) 3 weeks ago. Open to improvement on handicap debut.
Workmanlike when landing the odds at Hamilton (6f, good to soft) in September. Found out at listed level after and now goes handicapping over a trip that should still suit after a 6-month break.
Progressive form in maiden and novices, readily winning 1m Redcar event (good) third time up in October. Possibly feeling effects of a busy start to career when last of 6 in a Newmarket nursery when last seen. Returns from 176 days off having been gelded here.
Didn't look the easiest ride (hung left) when winning a 6f Redcar novice last autumn and ran to similar level when fourth of 7 in a Southwell handicap on reappearance last month. Not disgraced at Newmarket last week but handicapper seems to have control for now.
Much improved when winning at Carlisle (5.8f) in August and emerged with credit from a poor draw when seventh of 15 in a stronger race at Doncaster (6f) on his penultimate outing. Possibly unsuited by softer ground at Pontefract when last seen and isn't completely discounted after 6 months off.
Winless at 2 yrs but proved largely consistent and shaped better than the result when seventh of 10 at Musselburgh (1m, good) on return, wider than ideal throughout but travelling better than most for a long way. Can give another respectable account.

Forecasts
Hasbro Market (5/2), Gold Queen Kindly (10/3), Sanaam (4/1), Passing Thought (17/2), Back To Me (12/1), Beyond The Bar (14/1), Supreme Clarets (18/1), Evening Blues (18/1), Dacres Cross (18/1), Harswell Angel (20/1), Shahik (66/1)
SANAAM was clearly well regarded at 2 yrs and showed improved form when scoring at Southwell in December. He looks on a workable opening mark and gets the nod over fellow handicap newcomers Back To Me and Hasbro Market.
