Hasn't proved the easiest to win with but caught the eye when fast-finishing runner-up at Hereford on second start for new yard and filled same spot over C&D (also in a handicap) 3 weeks ago. Good shout in this form back in a novice.

Third sole start in Irish points and good start over hurdles, although found his run of good form coming to a halt at Plumpton in March. Has had a breathing operation since.

Timeform
Third completed start in points but well held in bumper here and Ffos Las maiden hurdle in recent weeks.

Won at Ludlow last November and has run well in handicaps since, second at Newbury in February and third of 7 at Taunton 31 days ago, not knocked about. Back in novice company.

Timeform
No promise in Uttoxeter bumper 4 weeks ago. Related to some temperamental sorts and hard to fancy on hurdle debut.
|
Timeform
Little promise in bumpers/Flat maiden/course maiden hurdle.

Forecasts

Beau Quali (2/1), Piping Rock (5/2), Quay Item (10/3), Treasure Planet (4/1), Vanderflier (20/1), Drumlee Orders (33/1), Yellow Warning (33/1), The Last Promise (50/1), Shuil Rocco (66/1), Equity Release (100/1)

Verdict

BEAU QUALI has quickly found his feet for Christian Williams with back-to-back seconds, most recently in a C&D handicap, and can take advantage of the drop to novice company. Treasure Planet shaped as if still in good form when third at Taunton last month and remains unexposed. Quay Item flopped at Doncaster but could bounce back.
