Stepped up on hurdles exploits when making a successful chase debut over C&D in November. Runner-up on 3 of his 5 subsequent starts in this sphere, including with cheekpieces on for the first time (retained) at Market Rasen recently. Strong candidate.
Won twice over hurdles for Gordon Elliott in 2022 but has shown nothing in 5 starts for present connections, the latest of which was over C&D last spring.
Finally got off the mark over C&D in November 2024 but hasn't come close to matching that level of form in 4 subsequent completions.
Won 4 on the bounce (2 over hurdles and 2 in this sphere) in October/November 2024. Returned to form when runner-up back here during the autumn and, entitled to come on for last month's C&D spin (first run for 3 months), he could have a part to play having slipped to a potentially handy mark.
Irresolute performer who was pulled up in handicap chase at in November and again failed to fire when a well-held fifth over C&D on Boxing Day. Absent since and it's probably best to look elsewhere.
Little to shout about in bumpers/over hurdles, pulled up in a first-time hood at Newcastle on latest start 18 days ago. Hood retained and tongue strap now given a whirl, too.
Remains a maiden following a dozen starts in bumpers/over hurdles but, on the upside, he posted one of his better efforts when third of 9 in a Perth handicap hurdle (2½m, good to soft) in September. Possibilities if fully tuned-up/jumping passes the test now tackling fences.

Forecasts
Dixie Cowboy (13/8), Myfavouritesister (5/2), Clean Getaway (5/1), Natural Ability (6/1), Restandbethankful (7/1), Beep Beep Becky (8/1), Elusive Warrior (20/1), Nonbinding (200/1)
The most solid option is DIXIE COWBOY, who has largely acquitted himself well since scoring on his C&D chase debut and he remains on a plausible mark. Beep Beep Becky's form over hurdles leaves much to be desired but the fact that she was runner-up on her sole start between the flags augurs well ahead of this switch to the larger obstacles. She is second choice ahead of the down-in-the-weights Clean Getaway.
