Barrie Wells Box4Kids Novices' Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race)

Fairly useful in bumpers but hasn't hit those heights over hurdles, finishing well beaten on handicap bow at Wincanton (2½m), for all he wasn't well placed. Hopes pinned on marked step up in trip.

Irish point/Worcester novice winner is knocking on the door in handicaps, finding only a likeable one too good on first start over 3m last time. Entitled to be in the mix again up 3 lb.

Landed back-to-back victories (under this jockey) at Worcester last autumn and while only fourth of 8 in this grade at Aintree subsequently (unseated through no fault of his own latest), return of Sean Bowen/first-time cheekpieces makes him of interest.

Stoutly-bred gelding (placed in a point) didn't improve for the switch to handicaps when seventh of 9 at Wincanton (3m½f) last time, and shapes as though he'll need more extreme tests.

Rattled off a hat-trick to start the season but again below form when eighth of 15 at Huntingdon in January, his second weak finish in a row concerning.

Successful pointer was a much-improved winner with Sean Bowen aboard on Taunton handicap debut but never looked like building on that when pulled up at Plumpton last time.

Brother to high-class hurdler/chaser Envoi Allen. Clearly been a fragile sort since his bumper days, though there were more promising signs when third over 2m3f at Taunton early last month, and he looks interesting over a longer trip on handicap debut.

Has remained in good form since winning at Huntingdon (2½m) in November, finishing third in solid handicap for the grade at Warwick (2m) last time, and he's worth a try over this much longer trip.
