Dual Group 1 winner, including Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes (6f) at Royal Ascot last year. Beaten favourite when neck second to Reef Runner in Group 2 Turf Sprint at King Abdulaziz (6.8f) 42 days ago, but should be sharper for that run and holds sound claims.

Talented US raider who took form to a new level when winning 13-runner Group 2 Turf Sprint at King Abdulaziz (6.8f) in February, claiming the scalp of a slightly below-par Lazzat. Has won both starts at 6f+ and looks the likeliest danger to the favourite.

Smart horse who scrambled home in Grade 2 at Hanshin in December. Creditable ½-length third of 16 to Pair Pollux in Grade 3 at Nakayama (6f, good to firm) 28 days ago and holds each-way claims again.

Dual winner of Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot, but isn't the force of old and sole win in 2025 came in Grade 2 at Keeneland (5.5f). Had excuses when well behind Ka Ying Rising at Sha Tin last time but others are more persuasive.

Has already enjoyed a productive spell at this track this winter, winning listed event and Group 2 Blue Point Sprint, both at 5f. Bit below form when 1½ lengths third of 15 to Native Approach in Nad Al Sheba Turf Sprint (10/3) at this C&D last time and is probably ideally suited by shorter than 6f.

Has done well over this C&D this year, causing a 66/1 upset in listed race in January and then first home in stand-side group when fourth in Nad Al Sheba Turf Sprint last time. Was behind 3 rivals who re-oppose here that day, though, so needs to progress again.

Caused a 50/1 shock having a belated first try sprinting when ending long losing run in 15-runner Nad Al Sheba Turf Sprint at this C&D 28 days ago, beating Run Boy Run by 1¼ lengths, along with several others who are in opposition again. Needs a career-best to be in the mix here, though.

Back to best of late, winning handicap at this track (5f) in February before creditable 1¼ lengths second of 15 to Native Approach in Nad Al Sheba Turf Sprint at this C&D 28 days ago. Those efforts still leave him with plenty to find on form, though.

Smart mare who won a pair of Group 3s in France in 2025. Below-form 4¾ lengths seventh of 15 to Native Approach in Nad Al Sheba Turf Sprint at this C&D 28 days ago, though, and seems best at 5f.

Won listed race at Chantilly and excellent third in Group 1 Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot (6f, beaten ¾ length by Time For Sandals) in 2025. Undone by poor track position when behind a few of these in Nad Al Sheba Turf Sprint (C&D) last time and should give a good account.

Lightly-raced colt who is 2-2 at this track this year. Improved for switch to sprinting when winning 13-runner minor event at this C&D 50 days ago, but is surely flying too high against his elders here.

Forecasts

Lazzat (5/6), Lugal (8/1), Rayevka (8/1), Reef Runner (9/1), Cover Up (14/1), Run Boy Run (18/1), Great Wish (20/1), Northern Champion (20/1), Marbaan (20/1), Monteille (25/1), Khaadem (25/1), Native Approach (28/1), Arabie (50/1)

Verdict

LAZZAT was just touched off by Reef Runner when the pair met in the Group 2 Turf Sprint at King Abdulaziz in February, but has plenty of efforts that mark him out as the class act of this race and he's taken to reverse form with that outing under his belt. Rayevka can fare best of the rest.
