Blue Point gelding who showed plenty amidst greenness when second on debut at Southwell (5f) in January. Possibly found race coming too soon 10 days on when third at Wolverhampton but given time ahead of this and no surprise to see him resume progress.

60,000 gns foal, 55,000 gns yearling, Havana Grey colt. Half-brother to several winners, including 2-y-o 5f winner Mighty Rock and 1m-10.7f winner Art of America. Dam ran once in US. One to note on debut.

€48,000 yearling, Sergei Prokofiev colt. Dam 7f winner. Debuts with yard amongst the winners and interesting what the market makes of him.

Bated Breath gelding. Dam, 2-y-o 6f winner, half-sister to smart 1m-1¼m winner Anda Muchacho. Another to monitor closely in the betting for positive vibes ahead of debut.

Showed plenty to work on in race that worked out well when third on debut at Haydock (6f) in May. Easy to back and went backwards from that effort at Nottingham a month later but gelded ahead of return and no surprise to see him do better as a 3-y-o.

Aclaim gelding. Dam unraced. Stable's newcomers usually better for a run.

In need of experience when well held in novice/maiden events in recent weeks. One for further down the line.

1,000 gns foal, Land Force filly. Sister to 1m winner Tactical Control and 9.5f-1½m winner Infantry Officer. Dam 1m winner who probably stayed 1¼m. Wears hood.

Held back by inexperience when fourth on debut over C&D in January but proved to be a disappointment when sixth in a Wolverhampton maiden (7f) 3 weeks ago. Probably one for handicaps after this.

Forecasts

Moscow Power (10/11), Blue Deveron (11/4), The Untamed (13/2), Hallandale Beach (9/1), Romeo's Guardian (12/1), Sargent Dennis (18/1), Militzie (20/1), Admirable Fellow (66/1), My Mate Mackley (200/1), Fenay Bridge (200/1), Hever Beauty (200/1)

Verdict

Having shaped with plenty of promise when second on debut, BLUE DEVERON may have found the quick turnaround against him at Wolverhampton next time. He's well worth another chance to get back on the up. Newcomers, The Untamed and Hallandale Beach are others on the shortlist, while Moscow Power is surely capable of better again as a 3-y-o judged on his debut form.
