Smart stayer on Flat for Andrew Balding. Showed an aptitude for hurdling when second of 11 in 2m Wetherby novice over Christmas. Disappointed when a well-held fourth at Catterick in January but might be worth another chance back from a breathing operation.
Encouraging debut bumper fourth at Catterick in December but has failed to build on that since, including 2 maiden hurdles. Hooded first time.
Placed on his second start in bumpers but well held in the other 2. Makes hurdle debut.
Pretty useful on the Flat for the Gosdens in 2024. Well beaten in Goodwood handicap last May on sole start for this stable but starts out over hurdles in a winnable race. Market confidence potentially significant with his yard going well.
Modest form on Flat and well held in 2m Newcastle maiden on hurdle debut 4 weeks ago.
Fair handicapper on the Flat, winning 3 times over 2m+ last year. Reached the frame in 2 maiden hurdles this winter, showing fair form when second at Kelso (2m, soft) latterly. Should go well.
Modest maiden on the Flat and similar form in this sphere. Off since finishing last of 5 in 2m Perth handicap in September but returns with his yard in form.
No form in 3 outings over hurdles.
Long-standing maiden on the Flat and beaten a long way in 2 outings over hurdles last month. Others are more obvious.
Kameko filly who has finished third in all 3 bumpers. Should be competitive if taking to this new discipline.

Forecasts
Quercus Robur (15/8), Alsakib (9/4), Lyric (4/1), Scriabin (5/1), Luna Grace (17/2), Storm The Dug (80/1), Dublinofficecallin (80/1), Last Man Standing (80/1), Ned Broy (150/1), Breaking Ground (300/1)
Although ALSAKIB was underwhelming at Catterick last time his Wetherby hurdle debut second prior to that was quite promising and this smart Flat performer might be worth another chance back from a breathing operation. Kelso runner-up Quercus Robur is second choice ahead of hurdle newcomer Lyric, who achieved useful form on the Flat in his 3-y-o campaign.
