Well-related Palace Pier colt steadily improved in maiden/novice company, finishing third (behind next-time-out winner) at Southwell (1m) in November. Likely to improve again for markedly longer trip/switch to handicaps.

Sea The Stars filly has steadily progressed in maidens, finishing fourth on qualifying run at this track last month, and she ought to do better now sent handicapping over more suitable distance.

Standout effort in novices when second of 4 at Ayr (heavy) last October. Has been gelded since and booking of Billy Loughnane/step up to middle-distances are both positives on handicap bow.

Step up to 1½m might not look the obvious move having pulled too hard to justify support on handicap debut over extended mile at Wolverhampton, though that was his first run for 6 months and clearly better was expected (a well-backed 13/8 favourite).

Showed first form when fifth of 8 (beaten just under 3 lengths) over 1m at Bath in September. She's stoutly bred and could well build on that upped in distance on handicap debut.

Forecasts

Magnetude (13/8), Five Moons (5/2), Gaelic Approach (5/1), Magician of Riga (5/1), Fuzeyya (8/1)

Verdict

Each of the quintet are open to improvement but MAGNETUDE appeals most upped up in trip having been beaten less than a length by a subsequent winner on his qualifying run when last seen in November. Five Moons could be the biggest danger.
