Useful handicap chaser (rated significantly lower over hurdles) has showed plenty of appetite remains despite his veteran status, ridden prominently when third in a soundly-run handicap at Naas last time. Remains one to be interested in dropped in grade.
Hasn't been seen since finishing eighteenth of 20 in handicap hurdle (18/1) at Leopardstown (23.4f, good) in December 2024 and is entitled to need this after 14-month absence.
Confirmed his return to form when fifth (behind Rebel Gold) at Naas last time but has far fewer miles on the clock and may get closer on slightly better terms.
Left with plenty to do when much improved third of 12 on handicap debut at Fairyhouse last month and could progress again on just his sixth career start.
Yet to score over hurdles but ran better than for a while when fifth of 16 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (19.3f, heavy, 18/1) in January and could be well-treated on the best of his old form.
Wasn't given hard time when fourth on qualifying run at Fairyhouse last time, and while handicaps look sure to suit better, he may need further than this.
Had plenty in his favour when ending long losing run over C&D in January but wasn't given the same freedom in front when well held third at Limerick latest.
Maiden finished third in a better race at Navan before finding his good run of form coming to a halt at Naas last time. First-time hood ought to help this free-going sort.
Has fallen significantly in the weights following a barren spell but did shape better than the beaten distance (not persevered with once held) at Clonmel last month. Interesting if building on that in first-time tongue strap.
Fairly useful on Flat (stays 1¼m) and shaped better than the beaten distance in testing conditions (possibly unsuited) on handicap hurdle bow at Clonmel. Remains with potential as a hurdler.
Sole win came over C&D in 2022 and has had a few chances to capitalise on falling mark since returning from a long absence, latest in first-time cheekpieces (removed) when tenth of 16 at Thurles.

Forecasts
Rebel Gold (9/4), Piccolo Player (3/1), Galavanting George (15/2), Uncle Gerhard (10/1), Mon Sheriffe (10/1), Royal Soldier (11/1), Global Skies (11/1), Marelly (11/1), Paradise Lost (14/1), Liberated Light (22/1), Junior Rattler (80/1)
Veteran REBEL GOLD is clearly in fine heart and can confirm recent form with Piccolo Player. Global Skies could be worth another chance off this sort of mark, given his Flat exploits.
