Won a point bumper and showed fair form when in the frame both his starts over hurdles late in 2023. Considerately handled after a 2-year absence when eighth of 16 in 2m4f Newcastle novice in January. Not without interest now going handicapping off a handy-looking mark.

Modest 2m Flat winner who has shown a similar level of form in this sphere, fifth of 15 on his handicap hurdle debut at Newcastle (20.3f, good to soft) 11 days ago. Not discounted off a 2 lb lower mark now stepping up in trip.

Runner-up in an Irish point. Has been brought along steadily over hurdles, a never-dangerous 13th in 2m novice at Huntingdon in December. Appeals as a likely improver now going handicapping over this markedly longer distance.

Resumed winning ways over C&D in January and has continued in good nick, third of 9 over C&D 8 days ago. A likely player off the same mark.

Largely struggled for David Brace last season and pulled up on belated return/debut for new yard in January. However, has looked an improved model in winning handicaps (around 3m) at Fakenham and Plumpton since, and he's the one to beat under a 7 lb penalty. Engaged Market Rasen 5.15 Tuesday.

Opened her account at Cartmel last summer but she's not proved easy to catch right subsequently, only sixth of 9 in 3m1f Carlisle handicap hurdle 16 days ago. Cheekpieces are reached for now.

Winless since early 2023 and he arrives out of sorts over fences, a remote third of 5 in 3m2f handicap chase at Sedgefield 13 days ago. Back over hurdles for the first time in 12 months with lots to prove.

A one-time fairly useful Flat winner but he seems only poor nowadays and also showed little in 4 starts over hurdles last season for Simon Whitaker. Very hard to warm to for his new handler after 9 months off.

JUNIOR DES MOTTES has been transformed since joining Nick Schofield and is hard to side against under a penalty unless his recent exploits at Market Rasen have caught up with him. In-form C&D scorer East Eagle could emerge as the chief threat, although handicap debutants Workhardplayhard and Beep Beep Becky appeal as likely improvers and could also have a say.
