Horse A-Z
Passing Glance gelding. Dam (h102), 2¼m-21f hurdle winner, half-sister to connections' very smart hurdler/high-class chaser (stayed 25f) Dashel Drasher. Tongue tied on debut.
Timeform
Fourth foal. Dam, lightly raced in bumpers/over hurdles, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 2½m) Psychomodo. Betting can guide expectations.
Timeform
Masked Marvel gelding who showed only greenness when tailed off in a bumper at Southwell (12/1) in December. Likely to need more time.

Looked badly in need of the experience but had obviously got the hang of things by the end when fourth of 15 in a bumper at Exeter (9/2) in December on debut. Capable of better with that under his belt.

Third in a point but too keen when fourth of 11 in a bumper at Exeter (11/2) last month. First-time hood now applied.

€32,000 yearling. €92,000 3-y-o. Milan gelding. Dam, modest form in bumpers, half-sister to dam of outstanding staying hurdler Big Buck's. Half-brother to smart chaser Slate House and useful chaser Touch Kick. Runner-up in an Irish point and fancied to feature.
Timeform
Third foal. Dam, maiden on Flat (stayed 1½m), half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/winning chaser (stays 25f) Lipa K.
Timeform
Fourth foal. Half-brother to 2m hurdle winner in Jersey Mini Mildred (by Universal). Dam (c131/h136) 2m-19f hurdle/chase winner, also 9.7f-2m winner on Flat.
Timeform
€33,000 3-y-o second foal. Half-brother to bumper winner Miss Mini Bee (by Soldier of Fortune), stays 2½m. Dam, 17f/2¼m hurdle/chase winner in France (also 1½m winner on Flat), half-sister to useful hurdler (stays 3m) Henri The Second. Worth a look on debut.
Timeform
Showed nothing on debut at Exeter in December so can only be watched.

Getaway mare who hinted at ability but couldn't sustain her run when seventh of 10 in a maiden bumper at Wincanton (100/1) last month.

Very promising first effort when ½-length third of 12 to Anthony Honeyball pair at Wincanton in November but went backwards from that in listed company at Cheltenham on New Year's Day, failing to impress with his demeanour beforehand. Receives weight all round back in calmer waters.

Forecasts

Rices Pool (9/4), Roximan (3/1), Par Avion (5/1), The Noble Butler (6/1), Quickkick (8/1), Teletime (12/1), Jiggy Waller (14/1), Jim Santiago Bowie (25/1), Up The Hill (33/1), Sharp Tor (33/1), Lakeview Lass (50/1), Lucky Bailly (50/1)

Verdict

The betting should prove informative with several of these Rules debutants but preference is for RICES POOL, who fetched €92,000 as a 3-y-o and represents a yard synonymous with bumper success. Roximan was disappointing in a listed bumper at Cheltenham in January but can build on his debut promise at the second attempt, while Par Avion could well take off with his debut effort under his belt.
