Course winner. Winner here in January. Creditable seventh of 12 in handicap at Lingfield (13f, AW, 22/1) 3 days ago. Back up in trip and looks vulnerable from a win perspective.
Didn't need to improve to win 5-runner handicap (4/1) at this course (14.1f) 13 days ago, having run of race. More on his plate up 3 lb in this stronger race.
Thrice-raced maiden on Flat. Modest winner at 17f over hurdles. 9/2, seventh of 10 in handicap hurdle at Exeter (16.7f, good) on latest start 15 months ago. Still, it'll be interesting to see how he shapes up in the betting on his handicap debut in this sphere.
6/1, creditable second of 7 in handicap at this course (14.1f) 25 days ago, not ideally placed. Can make presence felt.
C&D winner. Five wins from 13 runs last year. Didn't need to improve to win 7-runner handicap (11/4) at Kempton (16f) 13 days ago. One to consider up 2 lb.
Fourteen runs since last win in 2023. Ninth of 11 in handicap at Newbury (16f, heavy, 20/1). Off 123 days and others look stronger.
11/1, sixth of 9 in handicap at this C&D 32 days ago. Wouldn't be without an each-way chance if on-song but one or two of the others are nevertheless preferred.
Lightly-raced maiden. Very good fourth of 9 in handicap (10/1) at Wolverhampton (16.6f) 22 days ago. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals.
Winner at Chelmsford City in December. Sixth of 9 in handicap (9/4) at Wolverhampton (14f) 21 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Now tried in blinkers and he's a must for the shortlist.

Forecasts
Skycutter (3/1), Captain Robert (7/2), Trojan Soldier (9/2), Prince Quattro (9/2), Further Measure (11/2), Grand Duchess Olga (12/1), King's Cruiser (16/1), Capone (25/1), Final Entry (33/1)
CAPTAIN ROBERT appeared somewhat short of full match-fitness back from an eight-week break at Wolverhampton earlier this month and this 4-y-o, who is in good hands and probably remains on a good mark, is taken to get back on track with blinkers enlisted here. Recent Kempton winner Further Measure is highly likely to be involved in the finish, along with Trojan Soldier, who went down narrowly when returning from a break here 25 days ago.
