Smart hurdler who gamely landed Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham last January. Good fourth of 6 to Ma Shantou in same 3m contest four weeks ago so he's not taken lightly back in handicap company.
As good as ever over hurdles last season, runner-up in Grade 2 Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham last January. Had a second breathing operation before coming in a remote third of 4 in 3m Ludlow conditions chase so has a bit to prove back in this sphere.
Smart Grade 2-winning chaser at his best for Gordon Elliott. Off 7 months and given a considerate ride on his yard debut when third of 6 in 2m4f Newbury handicap chase in November. Has undergone breathing surgery since and can't be discounted back in this sphere.
Very useful staying handicapper in 2022/23. Off for 33 months before offering little in a pair of 3m handicaps at Sandown and Windsor either side of Christmas. Needs to take a major step forward.
Back to winning ways over C&D in December and running with credit off a 5 lb higher mark when fell last in 2m5f handicap at Kempton following month. Ought to be thereabouts.
Gamely landed 3m Newbury handicap in November on his return and has posted respectable efforts when third over C&D and sixth of 15 at Windsor (3m) subsequently. Mark probably about right on balance.
Defied a 2-year absence to land 2m4f handicap at Wincanton in January 2025 and backed it up with a good C&D third 12 months ago on his final run for Anthony Honeyball. This course winner is no forlorn hope for his new yard after another lay-off.
Fairly useful hurdler who returned with a pair of good runner-up efforts at Newton Abbot and Exeter before being scuppered by a blunder 3 out when seventh of 10 to King of The Lake over C&D (good to firm) 56 days ago. Since had a wind op (also tongue tied) so needs considering.
Scored at Southwell in December and progressed again when following up in 3m handicap at Doncaster 54 days ago. Well on top at the finish there so can make his presence felt in his hat-trick bid despite a 7 lb weights rise.
Lightly-raced son of Westerner who made a winning start over hurdles at Wincanton in 2024. Off 12 months but has improved sent handicapping this winter, scoring at Lingfield before good third of 10 back at Wincanton (3m) last month. Remains quite unexposed and a likely player off an unchanged mark.
Very good runner-up over C&D last February but ended last term out of sorts, pulled up at Newton Abbot (3m2f) final run. Returns from 10 months off here with plenty more required from 5 lb out of the handicap.

Forecasts
A Perfect Day (9/4), King Of The Lake (5/1), Gowel Road (11/2), Firestream (13/2), Ambion View (7/1), Keable (10/1), Gold In The Rivers (10/1), Stone's Throw (11/1), American Mike (20/1), Monmiral (25/1), Rickety Bridge (25/1), Green Book (33/1)
This looks wide open but Ben Clarke's A PERFECT DAY rates just the pick of the weights and remains with few miles on the clock so is taken to go 3-5 at the chief expense of hat-trick seeking Stone's Throw who rates a big threat. In-form top-weight Gowel Road seems sure to be on the premises back in handicap company, while Ambion View, King Of The Lake and Keable also need factoring in too.
- Stone's Throw11/1
- Gowel Road11/2
