Took advantage of a much-reduced mark when ending long losing run at Newcastle in January and quickly back to winning ways at Wolverhampton (6f) 4 days ago. Has a wide draw to overcome but every chance he'll feature under a 4-lb penalty.
Caused a shock when scoring over C&D on stable debut in November but hasn't yet kicked on, finishing fourth the last twice when sent off favourite.
Caught the eye on final 2025 outing at York and made a winning return without headgear in 5f handicap at Newcastle last month (now 2-2 on AW), showing a good attitude. Raised 4 lb but remains favourably treated on old form.
Bagged last season's Great St Wilfrid at Ripon (6f) and back on the scoresheet at Lingfield (6f) in December. Returned to form from out of the blue in a reapplied hood when going down narrowly at Kempton last time, but consistency isn't his forte.
In good order of late, finishing third for the third start on the spin at Chelmsford (16/5) 8 days ago. Booking of Oisin Murphy catches the eye and this veteran could have a part to play.
Course winner last month and probably would've also won next time but for a slow start. Shaped similarly when fourth of 5 at Lingfield 10 days ago, and return to this track should suit, as might another go at 6f.
Put it all together when landing 14-runner handicap in Racing League series at Chepstow (6f) in August. Well held on all 3 subsequent outings, however, and returns from 3 months off.
Sandown winner last June and returned to form with a narrow success in first-time blinkers at Nottingham (6f) in October. Shaped as if still in good form under a penalty at York 8 days later but absent since.
All 3 career wins have been on the all-weather and he made a solid start after leaving Jack Channon and 8 months off when third of 7 at Wolverhampton (11/1) 17 days ago. Wide stall to contend with here, however.
Tends to give his running at this track and can have a line put through latest run, getting the worst of it when the leader hung down the centre when eighth of 9 at Chelmsford (4/1) just over 3 weeks ago.
Ended long losing run in 6-runner handicap at Newcastle over 5f (7/2) just over a fortnight ago. Pulled too hard last time he tried 6f but a hood has made him more tractable recently.
In good form when last seen in October, finishing runner-up for a second successive start at Catterick (6f). Ran a cracker on return last season but this the first time he's raced on AW.

Forecasts
Vantheman (10/3), Silky Wilkie (9/2), Betsen (13/2), Stanley Spencer (7/1), Aberama Gold (15/2), Station X (9/1), Star Chorus (11/1), Intervention (12/1), Cajetan (14/1), Monks Dream (22/1), Roberto Caro (28/1), Jenever (33/1)
Cases can be made for several but none are more persuasive as the one for STAR CHORUS now he's returned to this course (form figures here read 311351). Vantheman is 2-2 on AW and rates a serious threat, with Silky Wilkie another fancied to be in the mix.
