Fairlight Studios Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Chase

Course maiden hurdle winner who came good at third time of asking in handicap chases when seeing off 7 rivals at Huntingdon (2½m) 5 weeks ago. Should remain very competitive off 4 lb higher.

Completed a hat-trick in handicap chases in early 2024, including here. Lightly raced since but showed he retains his ability when placed in 21f course handicaps in November.

Made a winning chasing debut over 2m here in November and good runner-up efforts at Hexham and back here (both 2m again) last month. Runner-up in a handicap hurdle around 2½m. Another bold show is likely.

Landed back-to-back Ayr handicap hurdles wins last February. Hasn't managed to reproduce that form switched to fences this winter but he was in contention when hampered and unseated just after 2 out at Ayr 23 days ago.

Is enjoying a very good season and got off the mark over fences in 2m course handicap on Boxing Day. Creditable third of his revised mark at Catterick (19f, good to soft) on Wednesday. Likely to give another good account if coping with the quick turnaround.

All 6 career wins at Hexham. Showed he still retains ability despite his advancing years when third in 2m Hexham handicap chase in December but he's running from 5 lb out of the weights here.
