Point/bumper/maiden hurdle winner who completed the set when seeing off 12 rivals in Ffos Las handicap chase in October. Good runner-up efforts at Uttoxeter/Cheltenham since and extra distance will suit. Player.
Scored readily over fences at Hereford and Exeter in the spring. Mixed record since but shaped encouragingly returning from a 9-week break over an inadequate trip here on New Year's Day.
Largely consistent over fences for current yard and deservedly opened his account in this sphere with a gritty display at Warwick. Good second at Haydock since and remains unexposed in marathon events.
Fairly useful chaser for Gary & Josh Moore who left his opening pair of exploits for new yard well behind in a refitted visor when winning at Wetherby 6 weeks ago, holding on gamely. No good thing to be in the same form here, though.
Point winner who enhanced his good strike rate under Rules when making a winning return at Ayr last month. Shuffled back at a crucial stage when 5 lengths third in 4m Borders National at Kelso since. Remains capable of better.
Veteran who ended a long losing run when scoring at Fakenham in October and improved on that form when taking 6-runner handicap (29.1f, soft) at same course under this rider 4 weeks ago. This is much more competitive, however.
Made a winning handicap/chase debut at Wetherby over a year ago but has been well below par on his last 3 outings, albeit in a much better race than this when tried in this headgear last time.
Had a productive 2024/25 season, scoring at Ludlow and Wetherby. Looked set to run respectably after 7 months off prior to falling last at Cheltenham but failed to meet expectations back at Ludlow since.
Took well to fences last season and easily bagged his second success in 3-runner handicap chase at Plumpton in March. Good seconds at Newbury/Plumpton since but current mark seems to sum him up now. Off 9 months.
Back on the scoresheet at Fontwell in June and shaped well when third at Plumpton on return last month. Didn't convince when previous tried at this distance, however (raced freely).
More miss than hit last season but more encouraging signs both starts this term for new yard. Not taken lightly.
Multiple point winner but is still a maiden under Rules and was never a factor in Borders National at Kelso 6 weeks ago. Headgear applied.
Developing at pace now and again showed a willing attitude to notch up his third win from just 6 starts over fences at Uttoxeter 18 days ago. Likely to stay so enters calculations.
Runner-up on all 3 handicap hurdle outings before making a successful stable/chasing debut at Exeter on return. Justified support when following up at Wincanton next time and sure to go on improving for a while yet.
A fair winning hurdler/chaser for Philip Hobbs & Johnson White. Decent runner-up efforts last 2 starts but likely to find this too competitive up in class.
Generally struggled since winning this last year but is 7 lb lower as a result and some encouragement over an inadequate trip at Ludlow last time. Headgear back on and better showing wouldn't surprise.

SPECIAL JOHN is very much a young stayer to keep on the right side of and he's taken to complete the hat-trick. De Legislator remains of interest having been shuffled back at a crucial stage at Kelso, while the progressive Express Surprise is also bidding for a 3-timer.
