Heart Over Head^t²⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 12-2| J: J J Burke| T: F O'Brien| OR: 112

18/5

Improving son of Solider Of Fortune who readily got off the mark in 4-runner handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (22.2f, heavy) 28 days ago. Hiked up 10 lb but a likely player with this longer trip a plus.

Form: P-74731

Hudson⁵⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 12-0| J: Shane Fenelon⁽⁵⁾| T: M Bowen| OR: 110

22/1

Fair maiden hurdler for Ellmarie Holden in Ireland. Posted a solid fourth of 7 for his new yard in 2m Exeter handicap in November and can't be discounted here eased 1 lb if his stamina holds out.

Form: F8432-4

Tzarmix^p³⁷

Age: 8| Weight: 11-11| J: Toby McCain-Mitchell⁽⁵⁾| T: A Ralph| OR: 107| BF

11/4

Built on earlier promise to gain a first win for his current yard in 3m Ludlow last month and backed that up when second at Hereford a week later. Can make his presence felt from an unchanged mark.

Form: 1-P6312

Born In The West³¹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-9| J: Tom Midgley⁽³⁾| T: S England| OR: 105

5/1

Well backed and readily resumed winning ways in 12-runner handicap hurdle at Catterick (25.3f, good) 31 days ago. Up 6 lb but not taken lightly in his current mood.

Form: 23-7551

Avada Kedavra³²

Age: 7| Weight: 11-8| J: Brendan Powell| T: D G Bridgwater| OR: 104

14/1

Benefited from a more positive ride when making all to get off the mark at Taunton prior to following up with an improved success in a 4-runner Plumpton handicap (25f) last month. Up another 5 lb but very much one to consider in his hat-trick bid.

Form: 14-5311

Face d'Music^b1¹⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 11-6| J: Shane Quinlan⁽³⁾| T: Katy Price| OR: 102

40/1

A fair winning hurdler/chaser but he's not the most consistent and was pulled up in handicap hurdle at Taunton (23.9f, good to soft) 17 days ago. Blinkers replace cheekpieces now with more required.

Form: 44-PP4P

Gotthereintheend^t²¹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-6| J: Liam Harrison| T: R L Llewellyn| OR: 102| C

11/2

Took her form up a notch after 10 months off with a breakthrough victory in 10-runner handicap hurdle here (20.6f, good) 21 days ago, comfortably making all. Hiked up 9 lb but she's still expected to be bang there.

Form: 8/2425-1

Princesse Milania⁴¹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-1| J: Jamie Hamilton| T: M Walford| OR: 97

13/2

Signed off for Olly Murphy with Plumpton win and followed up for her new yard at Wetherby (21f) later in October. Good placed efforts (around 3m) at Catterick and Aintree since and likely to be in the mix once more.

Form: 091133

Seahouses⁴³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: Isabelle Ryder⁽⁷⁾| T: F Brennan| OR: 94| BF| CD

8/1

Back to winning ways over C&D in November and not discredited off a 7 lb higher mark when fifth of 7 over C&D 43 days ago. Ought to be thereabouts once more.

Form: 124-315

Forecasts

Tzarmix (11/4), Heart Over Head (18/5), Born In The West (5/1), Gotthereintheend (11/2), Princesse Milania (13/2), Seahouses (8/1), Henrysbrotherjack (10/1), Avada Kedavra (14/1), Hudson (22/1), Face d'Music (40/1)

GOTTHEREINTHEEND returned an improved model under a change of tactics when a ready all-the-winner here on Boxing Day and a 9 lb rise in the weights doesn't look sufficient to prevent Robbie Llewellyn's low-mileage mare from following up. Born In The West rates next best on the back of a comfortable Catterick success, although Heart Over Head remains unexposed at this sort of trip and seems sure to be on the premises too. Avada Kedavra and Tzarmix complete the shortlist in a cracking handicap.
