Very smart chaser at his best but lost his way for Sam Thomas last season and well beaten in Cheltenham handicap hurdle on last month's return for a new stable. Plenty to prove at present.
A very useful winning hurdler at his best but ended the 2023/24 season out of sorts and not seen again until well held at Newbury at the end of November. Could be sharper with that run behind him but he's a hard one to be confident about at present.
Dual hurdle winner here, including a Grade 2 novice over this trip back in 2022. Let down by his jumping back chasing on his Doncaster reappearance but big player back hurdling given how well he goes at this venue.
Back to winning ways at Exeter (18.5f, soft) 6 weeks ago but he was helped by being held up in a strongly-run race and this aren't sure to fall as favourably this time.
No win since landing a 2¼m Kempton handicap chase in October but there have been several good efforts in defeat since, including runner-up back hurdling at Plumpton last month. Enters calculations.
Walked over in Kempton maiden chase in November. Has found it tough back hurdling since and others arrive with more pressing claims.
Pretty useful at his best but he didn't look to be going that well when falling on his chase reappearance and could only manage a remote fourth back hurdling at Exeter since. Others are more obvious.
Improved to win 2m Lingfield handicap last December. Still in contention when brought down 3 out over C&D the following month and shaped as if needing reappearance following 10 months off when midfield at Newbury in November. Had wind op since (also tongue tied). The least exposed in the line-up.
Won the Flat at Goodwood (2m) in October and followed up in a 2m Plumpton handicap hurdle in November. His good spell came to an end when well held back on the Flat at Kempton last month.
Patchy form. Latest Ascot seventh of 12 was respectable but he's opposable from 3 lb out of the handicap.

Dominic's Fault (3/1), Henri The Second (7/2), Bourbali (5/1), Poncho (11/2), North Lodge (7/1), Luttrell Lad (15/2), Range (17/2), Sonigino (10/1), Lucky One (18/1), Secret Trix (50/1), Stolen Silver (80/1)
HENRI THE SECOND has a good course hurdle record and is worth siding with back over the smaller obstacles. Second choice is Dominic's Fault who is much less exposed than most who contest these races and is entitled to come on for reappearance in a warm Newbury handicap. Bourbali is next on the list.
