625,000 gns purchase who ran green and was ultimately always behind when eighth of 9 in maiden at Haydock (8f, good, 7/2) on debut 72 days ago. However, pedigree/connections suggest it's too soon to be writing him off and no surprise to see him leave that in his wake. Has been gelded.

TEWKESBURY offered something to work on starting out in a hood (retained here) when a keeping on fourth on debut at Southwell (8.1f) 18 days ago. Appealing as a likely improver with that run under his belt, he could be the answer here. Saxophonic's Haydock debut display was disappointing but he's been given a break (also gelded) and better can be expected for his powerful yard. Sassicaia and Coral Cathedral are newcomers to note, while Double Combo can probably do better.
