Four-time course winner but without a success this year. Form has been mixed of late, one of lesser efforts when eighth of 12 in handicap at Roscommon (7.4f, good to soft, 11/1) in September, though he's not ruled out back here.

Final Voyagep56
Age: 7|  Weight: 9-12| J: Yudish Geerdharry(7)| T: J P Murtagh| OR:  94| CD
Back down in trip returned to all-weather, produced a good effort when second of 13 in handicap at this C&D (11/2) 56 days ago, just failing. Could be ready to return to winning ways with cheekpieces reapplied.

Ran to a useful level for Charlie Appleby, but after 18 months off he finished twelfth of 13 in handicap (50/1) at Naas (7f, soft) on stable debut 55 days ago. This run should reveal more.

Carolina Jetstream28
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-8| J: Billy Lee| T: Robson Aguiar| OR:  91| CD
Made it back-to-back victories here when winning minor event (10.7f) in February. Back on the up when length fourth of 14 to Aviatrice in listed race over C&D (33/1) last month (final start for Adrian Murray) and he's one to note on handicap debut.

Exquisite Acclaimp14
Age: 6|  Weight: 9-5| J: Adam Caffrey| T: A McGuinness| OR:  87| CD
Six-time course winner (3 over C&D) who was also successful at Laytown in September. After 11 weeks off, possibly needed the run when eighth of 11 in minor event here (7f, 28/1) 2 weeks ago, but this is tougher back in a handicap.

Howyoulikethat28
Age: 8|  Weight: 9-4| J: Chris Hayes| T: Miss H McLoughlin| OR:  86| CD
Has won 3 times over C&D. Without a victory this year following a lengthy absence, but from his easing mark he ran respectably when third of 7 in handicap here (25/1) 28 days ago. Task is now to build on latest effort.

Instant Appeal30
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-1| J: Jack Kearney(3)| T: Stephen Thorne| OR:  83| CD
Has made promising start for current yard switched to all-weather, justifying support (11/10) when winning 9-runner handicap at this C&D 30 days ago. Back up in grade but he's not taken lightly.

Dalert14
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: Colin Keane| T: G M Lyons| OR:  83| BF| CD
Improved when getting off the mark in handicap over C&D in October. Backed up that effort when never-nearer third of 11 in minor event here (7f, 6/4) 2 weeks ago, so he enters calculations returned to this longer trip.

Forecasts

Instant Appeal (9/4), Daler (3/1), Final Voyage (4/1), Carolina Jetstream (9/2), Apache Outlaw (8/1), Howyoulikethat (12/1), Exquisite Acclaim (14/1), Musical Act (25/1)

Verdict

FINAL VOYAGE proved at least as good as ever when runner-up at this C&D on his latest outing, only narrowly denied by a 3-y-o improver, and he can build on that effort with cheekpieces back on. He is taken to see off the challenge of Instant Appeal, who is respected having made his second start for Stephen Thorne a winning one, with Daler also considered.
