Confirmed his Cheltenham hurdle debut promise when landing short odds at Lingfield (23f, soft) in January. Respectable third in 20.5f Newbury novice hurdle 4 weeks later. Switches to fences for his handicap debut after 9 months off and his point background provides hope he'll take to new discipline.

Four wins in excellent 2023/24 campaign, including here and also in the Eider at Newcastle. Didn't reach anything like the same heights last season but is well treated if a change of stable (has left Brian Ellison) sparks him back to life.
Pair of 2½m handicap chase wins last winter. Might have needed the run when fifth of 8 on Hexham reappearance and he won second time out last season. Respected now stepping up to 3m for the first time under Rules.
Only 1 win from 28 starts but has run well to be placed on his last 5 starts, including third of 13 in the Cork National (3½m, good to soft) 4 weeks ago. Likely to be in the shake-up again for his respected Irish stable.
Dual winner in points and battled well to make a successful debut under Rules in maiden hunter at Hexham in May. Better form in defeat twice since, returning from 6 months off to finish second of 7 on 3m Wetherby handicap debut 15 days ago. Unexposed sort who looks to have more races in him.
Four-time winner of handicap hurdles at up to 21f during 2023/24 campaign but seen only twice last season and unseated just after halfway when sent off at 18/1 for his Kelso chase debut/reappearance 12 days ago.
Progressive handicap hurdler and similar story over larger obstacles in 2023/24, winning 3 times. Off 21 months, shaped as if retaining ability when seventh of 9 here 4 weeks ago and should last longer this time.
Second over 4m at Hexham in March but that was her only creditable effort from 5 outings last season. Predictably found a 2½m course listed event all too much on reappearance. This much more realistic but others are still preferred.

Pierrot Jaguen (5/2), Broomfield Present (5/2), Anglers Crag (3/1), Great Notions (3/1), From The Ashes (6/1), Fenland Tiger (8/1), Rattling Road (12/1), Marown (20/1), Eloi Du Puy (33/1), Shighness (40/1)
GREAT NOTIONS gets the vote to build on his promising handicap debut second at Wetherby earlier in the month. Rattling Road can take a step forward from his reappearance and provide the main threat ahead of From The Ashes. Chase newcomer Pierrot Jaguen is another interesting runner.
