Fairly useful on Flat (stays 1½m) and won a pair of juvenile hurdles last season, latterly at this track (17.4f). Let down by jumping on first jumps start of the season at Wetherby earlier this month but not ruled out if he can sharpen up his jumping with sights lowered.

Deservedly ended a lengthy losing run at Perth (16.2f) in July and wasn't disgraced over the same C&D when fourth in a better race in August. Respected back down in grade following a break (has gone well fresh in the past).
Improved effort back from wind surgery when winning 2m Stratford maiden hurdle and took another step forward when chasing home a next-time-out winner under a penalty at Perth in September. Could be more to come now handicapping.
C&D winner posted best effort for current yard when runner-up (well clear of the rest) behind a handicap blot at Uttoxeter (15.7f) in June and shaped as if as good as ever when fourth on return to hurdles at Carlisle earlier this month. Solid claims.
Strong-travelling juvenile hurdle winner doesn't always find off the bridle but ran well to finish third (ahead of a subsequent winner) at Ludlow on final start for the Twiston-Davies yard. Easy to back when unseating early on first run for new yard last month and market should guide here.
Placed twice from 3 starts in maiden/novice hurdles on soft/heavy during 2023/24 season. Multiple winner on the Flat since, including twice this year, so shouldn't lack for fitness. Isn't one to discount on handicap debut in this sphere.
First form for new yard when runner-up at Cartmel and went one better under another positive ride (following 3 months off) in a Sedgefield novice (16.8f). Ben Haslam clearly has him in fine heart but he'll need to pull out a bit more to land the hat-trick back in a handicap (tongue tie retained).
Opened his account in 7-runner handicap at Hexham and better than ever when chasing home a subsequent at Perth next time. Excuses since (rider felt something amiss at Newcastle last time) and too soon to write off.
Fair Flat winner. Yet to score in this sphere (attracted support off higher marks last season) but has made a sound return to hurdles, hitting the frame in both starts last month. Should be in the mix from 1 lb out of the handicap.

Forecasts
Purple Gown (9/4), Jolie Coeur Allen (9/2), Inappropriate (5/1), City Of Diamonds (6/1), Ravenscraig Castle (7/1), Russian Virtue (10/1), Gemini Man (14/1), Jaminoz (20/1), Star Of Guiting (25/1)
A case can be made for most of these but RUSSIAN VIRTUE finished second in a strong race for the grade at Uttoxeter earlier in the year and having shaped as though as good as ever last time, he's fancied to land a first hurdle success since joining current connections. Purple Gown arrives in fine heart and should give another good account, while City of Diamonds makes appeal on his handicap debut.
