Improved with blinkers fitted in March, winning over 25f at Wincanton before second over C&D. Left the Philp Hobbs & Johnson White stable before finishing well held on Bangor reappearance without the blinkers. The headgear is still missing here.
Handicap hurdle winner in Ireland in spring 2024 but hasn't shown much in a chase and 3 hurdles since joining Sam England. First-time cheekpieces need to have a positive effect.
Two-time hurdle winner who belatedly got off the mark over fences at Carlisle (3m, soft) in February. Creditable third over 4m here on final start in March. Could play a prominent role if fully primed after 7 months off.
C&D winner who recorded a couple of creditable thirds here at the start of the summer. Sharper for a recent outing over hurdles at Kelso and likely to go well.
C&D winner in March. Respectable fifth of 14 over C&D the following month. Returned from a similar length of absence to finish third in this race 12 months ago.
Won a mares' handicap chase in the mud at Leicester in February. Not at very best in 2 comeback outings this autumn but might be working her way back to peak fitness.
Ended last season out of sorts and fared no better on Perth return last month.
Sedgefield winner in January 2024 but hasn't reproduced that form in 5 subsequent outings, the latest in February.
Well held in 3 novice hurdles but this point winner stands a more realistic chance now handicap chasing in first-time cheekpieces. One to keep a close eye on in the betting.
Maiden but has reached the frame 3 times in course handicap chases this season. Ran poorly at Newcastle last week but may fare better back here. 3 lb out of handicap.
Is 0-22 but she has reached the frame in C&D handicaps on her last 2 outings, latterly her reappearance after 6 months off. First-time blinkers won't need to give her too much more.

Forecasts
You Say Its Over (5/1), Dr Shirocco (11/2), Whispering Dancer (6/1), Uptown Harry (8/1), Shesupincourt (8/1), Iturgeon Du Breuil (8/1), Gibberwell (8/1), King Of Cong (9/1), I See The Sea (11/1), Don Brocco (11/1), Eveque (22/1)
DR SHIROCCO should be spot on for this after a recent outing over hurdles and has a more solid record than the majority of these. A market move for point winner Whispering Dancer would bring him firmly into the reckoning on his chase and handicap debut. You Say Its Over completes the shortlist.
