13/2

Proving consistent rather than progressive, respectable fourth of 9 in nursery at Yarmouth (7f, good to firm, 5/1) 31 days ago. Significantly up in trip (not guaranteed to suit on pedigree) and will need to improve if she's to break her maiden.

11/2

Finished one place ahead of Captain Cairney (who came from much further back) when runner-up at Bath last month. Improved to go one better when winning 9-runner nursery at Bath (8f, soft) 7 days ago. Carries penalty but merits respect up in trip.

El Carrusel¹⁴

Age: 2| Weight: 9-1| J: Darragh Keenan| T: J Ryan| OR: 51

50/1

Attracted support when second of 5 on nursery debut at Yarmouth (1m). Well held in maiden next time and was having second start in as many days when 15½ lengths last of 7 to Captain Cairney in nursery at this C&D 14 days ago. Needs to bounce back but has been given more time between races here.

Sporty Socks^h1¹⁴

Age: 2| Weight: 8-13| J: Alistair Rawlinson| T: W Stone| OR: 49

8/1

Plenty of stamina on her dam's side but ran poorly when upped markedly in distance, 7½ lengths fifth of 7 to Captain Cairney in nursery at this C&D 14 days ago. Hood on first time and has a bit to prove.

Forecasts

Captain Cairney (4/6), Time For Action (11/2), Lexington Express (13/2), Onyeisi (8/1), Sporty Socks (8/1), El Carrusel (50/1)

CAPTAIN CAIRNEY improved to get off the mark over C&D last time and this looks a good opportunity to follow up. Time for Action progressed to open her account at Bath 7 days ago and looks the main danger stepping up in trip under a penalty.
