Hurdles winner who opened chase account in good style at Southwell (20.4f, soft) last December. Mixed bag since, though, and last 2 starts 5 months apart were particularly lacklustre.
Won pair of juvenile hurdles and matched that form in handicaps last season, successful at Chepstow (2m) over Christmas. Pulled up final start, however, and may need this after 7 months off. Chase debut.
Surpassed anything that he's previously achieved when opening chase account at Chepstow (2m, heavy) in January. Again showcased a likeable attitude when second upped to 19.4f at the same course next time but quite in same for when third over C&D final start. Can go well back down in class.
Has had share of jumping issues over fences but better than ever for latest chase success at Fontwell in April. Reportedly lost action here following month but back on track when second of 3 at Stratford on return.
Landed a 19f maiden hurdle at Fontwell on his return last year and resumed winning ways at Fontwell when last seen in May. Likeable sort who should make a chaser.
Point winner and fair form when placed on all 5 starts in maiden/novice hurdles. Ought to do better now going chasing/handicapping (bought for huge sum after winning his point).
Hurdles/chase scorer who went with more zest in change of headgear when a convincing winner of Leicester handicap chase (22.7f) 23 days ago. However, strength of that form is dubious and struggled at Sandown following month.
Lost his way over fences last season but got back on track when a staying-on second back over hurdles at Newbury in February. Should have been suited by the return to 3m but disappointed at the same course following month. Will need to be on a going day with cheekpieces refitted on return.
Sometimes finds little but proved better than ever to scoop a good prize at Fontwell in March, first-time blinkers seemingly doing the trick. Good third at Plumpton following month and ran well on return last season. Considered.
Fair ex-Irish hurdler but hasn't shown much at all in 3 runs since switched to fences, including both starts for this yard.
Broke his duck at Lingfield in December and narrow winner at Ffos Las final start. However, 3 lb out of the handicap on this comeback run.

Forecasts
Royal Jewel (3/1), Buckna (7/2), Castelfort (13/2), Super Sabre Sam (7/1), Pachacuti (17/2), Joe Cotton (9/1), Sherborne (12/1), John W Creasy (14/1), Theformismighty (18/1), No Tackle (18/1), Givehimthehonour (28/1)
ROYAL JEWEL was a bit below par on his final start but he was generally progressive last season and is worth another chance back down in class. Joe Cotton responded well to blinkers in the spring and remains of interest, while Buckna and Super Sabre Sam are a couple of interesting chase debutants.
