Won a 12f handicap at Southwell in December and placed third over 11f in March. Last of 6 in handicap at Newmarket (22/1) 14 days ago, racing too freely and refusing to settle after 7 months off. Drop back in trip and return to all-weather could see her more competitive.

Won twice prior to finishing runner-up in July but form has tailed off, ninth of 11 in handicap at Windsor (10/3) 40 days ago when failing to justify significant support. Needs to bounce back but interesting to see if the money comes again.

C&D winner has been struggling for form since a promising second at Lingfield, finishing sixth of 10 in handicap at Lingfield (14/1) 25 days ago when appearing laboured. Worth a check to see if the market expects better now back on his last winning mark.

No handicap wins to date but ran creditably on first outing for new yard (formerly trained by Ed Walker) when third in 14-runner event at Haydock. Best not judged on latest run, finishing third of 6 at Chester (10f) on heavy ground 28 days ago. Could be more competitive on all-weather debut.

Form deteriorated since winning at Newbury in June, eighth of 13 in AW handicap at Southwell (16/1) 15 days ago when running poorly in first-time headgear. Visor and tongue strap now removed and remains with something to prove.

Won at Chelmsford (10f) 58 days ago. Ran one of his lesser races when seventh of 13 in handicap at Kempton (11f) at 9/1 30 days ago, tracking pace before fading in final furlong. Needs more to resume winning ways.

Won at Yarmouth and followed up at this course and distance 32 days ago. Third of 13 in handicap at Bath over 10f (11/4) 18 days ago when his winning run ended from a higher mark. Still has time on his side to show current mark undersells him and he makes appeal returning to the all-weather.

100,000 gns Havana Gold colt hasn't built on promise shown on debut at Kempton but is bred to be suited by this longer trip and could prove a different proposition on handicap debut.

Makes plenty of appeal on pedigree and has contested some strong maiden/novice races over shorter. Sure to appreciate the step up in trip and highly likely to improve now handicapping (following a gelding operation) for a yard who do very well with this type.

Forecasts

Stipulation (15/8), Lazieelunch (6/1), King's Hand (6/1), Imperial Trooper (8/1), American State (17/2), Arth's Gold (9/1), Alpine Oasis (11/1), Condotti (14/1), Bobacious (20/1), Fihrayn (33/1)

Verdict

An interesting handicap for the grade. Well-bred KING'S HAND strikes as a typical Sir Mark Prescott improver and he's fancied to make a winning handicap debut on first start since being gelded. Arth's Gold also looks sure to appreciate the step up in trip on his first start in a handicap and will likely have more to offer, while Stipulation was foiled in his hat-trick bid last month but may still prove better than his current mark.
