Signed off last year with a runner-up novice at Chelmsford wearing blinkers. Ran too badly to be true when last of 6 in handicap at Doncaster (12/1) in March. Blinkers back on for return.
Two-time C&D winner who disappointed when eighth of 9 in handicap at Doncaster (10/1) 17 days ago, racing off pace and weakening over 1f out. This represents a drop in grade back at Catterick.
Mostly disappointing over hurdles but showed ability remains when fourth of 11 in handicap at Beverley (50/1) 14 days ago with tongue strap retained back on the Flat after 13 weeks off. Steps back up in trip.
Won at Hamilton in June and third at Haydock before finishing seventh of 14 in 13f handicap at Hamilton (5/1) 28 days ago, weakening after being hassled for the lead.
Finished fifth in all three maiden/novice starts, most recently at Doncaster (125/1) 117 days ago, noted making late headway. Makes handicap debut now stepping up to 12f, which could bring improvement.
Has been disappointing in recent runs including when 6th of 7 in handicap at Thirsk (20/1) 47 days ago, reared at the start and never involved. Hopefully that was a one-off.
Shaping well in recent 10f handicaps, twice finishing runner-up, latterly at Pontefract (4/1) 13 days ago, led approaching final furlong before headed late on. First-time cheekpieces today for step up to 12f which recent strong-finishing efforts suggest will suit.

V Twelve (5/2), Lightning Tiger (11/4), Made All (10/3), Heathen (4/1), Lights Go Down (5/1), Shaffron (12/1), Flickering Halo (12/1), Mersea Island (14/1), Red Trail (14/1), Prince Achille (25/1)
LIGHTS GO DOWN has been knocking on the door recently, finishing a close second at Pontefract 13 days ago when ridden positively. The step up to 12f should suit based on his finishing efforts, and first-time cheekpieces may provide the extra needed to get off the mark. Heathen has been a consistent performer and continues to run well after changing hands, while Made All needs to bounce back from a below-par effort at Doncaster but this is easier.
