Second in 2m Southwell handicap hurdle off this mark in June and went one better on the Flat later that month. Below-par fifth on AW Flat last time but still respected back over timber.
Well held on the Flat this summer but shaped better back hurdling when 16 lengths fourth in 17f Cartmel maiden (heavy) in July. His opening mark looks workable. Player.
Irish point winner who has reached the frame in maiden/novice hurdles at Perth for new connections. Potential improver making a quick switch to handicaps with a tongue strap added.
Fairly useful winner on Flat in France. Only modest form over hurdles in Britain but with a top yard and no surprise were he to click at some point. Stable has a 6-14 Sedgefield record.
Hard to get too excited by recent Flat efforts but returns to hurdles off only 1 lb higher than when successful at Kelso in May.
Juvenile hurdle winner at Catterick in November 2024 and, fit from the Flat, was probably unsuited by testing ground conditions contesting his first handicap in this sphere when pulled up at Cartmel (17f, heavy) in July.
Took very well to Cartmel's sharp track when landing 9-runner handicap (17f, good) last month but a 7 lb rise proved more than enough to find him out Kelso since. Visor off, cheekpieces back on.
C&D winner in April and has registered creditable in-frame efforts on all 4 outings since. Should be competitive again back from 11 weeks off.
Flat winner who performed well on a couple of occasions over hurdles for Dan Skelton last year but hasn't fire this season, finishing a remote third at Stratford last time. Visored first time.
Maiden who failed to make an impact in handicaps for Jane Walton last season but needs a betting check on reappearance for his in-form new stable.

Forecasts
Fairly Fulling (5/2), Trailblazer (9/2), Roadshow (5/1), Captain Cool (5/1), Wind Your Neck In (7/1), Spartan Warrior (11/1), Zafaan (14/1), Jo's Rainbow (20/1), Ambassador (22/1), Game Management (40/1), You're Kidding Me (125/1)
WIND YOUR NECK IN looks on a feasible opening mark in this sphere based on his runner-up efforts at Southwell in the spring and gets the vote. Captain Cool appeals as a likely improver in handicaps and is second choice. Paul Nicholls hasn't sent too many to Sedgefield over the years but nearly half of them have won so Roadshow also has to enter calculations.
