Foaled April 3. 3,700,000 gns yearling, Siyouni filly. Half-sister to smart 2-y-o 7f/1m winner Ylang Ylang. Takes the eye on paper for powerful connections and obvious appeal.

£50,000 yearling, Starman filly. Dam maiden (stayed 7f), out of useful winner up to 6.5f (2-y-o 6f winner) Inyordreams, out of Molecomb/Flying Childers winner Wunders Dream. Plenty of speed in her pedigree but newcomers from this yard tend to need their first outing and this looks a good maiden.

Much improved from debut when second of 7 in maiden at Sandown (8f, soft, 50/1) 15 days ago. Probably going to need a bit more if she's to open her account in this competitive maiden.

Forecasts

Act Of Kindness (6/5), Shady Dame (9/2), Forbidden Colours (9/2), Mubasimah (11/1), Havana Flower (12/1), Mojito (12/1), Cherry Baker (18/1), Hen Party (33/1), Bluebluelectricblu (33/1), Topathemorning (80/1)

Verdict

A good chance this will go to a newcomer, with ACT OF KINDNESS topping the shortlist. Charlie Appleby has a tremendous record with runners making the short trip to the Rowley Mile for their first outing and the 3.7m gns yearling has obvious claims. Forbidden Colours and Mubasimah are a couple of others to note before betting clues.
