Bettered anything that he's previously achieved back up in trip at Worcester (23f, soft) last week, landing an 8-runner handicap with plenty seemingly left in the tank. This is tougher, but should nevertheless make a bold bid to follow up under a penalty.

Capitalised on a drop in the weights when landing a 19.3f Carlisle novices' handicap hurdle in April. However, pulled up lame at Kelso the following month and, similarly, he has followed his Flat success in June with a series of low-key efforts, serving as a reminder that he's none too consistent.

Three-time Flat winner and, though 0-12 over hurdles, she has made the frame on each of her last 6 completed starts in this sphere. Did nothing wrong when going close at Kelso (21f, good to soft) when last seen in April and she will be a serious player if fully tuned-up for this.

Still a maiden following 19 hurdles starts, but will surely put that right before long having produced solid efforts in defeat on each of his last 5 starts. Usually front-runs, but proved that he doesn't need to lead when third over 20.2f here last time and merits respect in first-time blinkers.

Performed with credit following 6 months off when fourth in a 10-runner handicap at Cartmel in May, but has followed that with a string of lesser efforts and she's now 0-17 under Rules.

Eight-race maiden on the Flat, but she has put in decent shifts in that sphere the last twice and is one to note now moving up in trip for her handicap debut over hurdles with first-time cheekpieces enlisted.

Point winner who shaped quite well when fourth of 17 in Aintree bumper for John Dawson in April. Minimal impact in 3 runs at up to 20.6f in novice hurdles, but improvement could be in the offing now faced with a stiffer test on this handicap bow.

No show in handful of runs between the flags and it's been a similar story under Rules so far.

Ran much better than on handicap debut when second in a 6-runner handicap at Southwell (24.2f, good) in June. Probably would've finished in the money again had she not unseated over this C&D recently and this 6-y-o is not without each-way hope.

Well held in bumper and 3 hurdles for Pauline Robson, but there were more encouraging signs when fifth of 15 on handicap/yard debut in a first-time tongue strap at Hexham (2½m, good to firm) back from a break last month. May do better still now moving up in trip and she's one to consider.

ZEEZEE was doing her best work at the finish when fifth starting out for this yard in a Hexham handicap last month and, with the promise of better to come now faced with a stiffer test, she could be the answer. A first career win surely won't evade Burgundy Man for too much longer and he is second choice ahead of Anamanda and recent Worcester winner Stiletto. Handicap debutantes Somebodycomegether and Out On Her Own both need a second look, too.
