Poor performer on Flat who showed a bit on first of 2 hurdle runs for Derek Shaw during the spring. Encouragement when a short-head second on his debut for Olly Murphy last month and it would be no surprise to see him do better again.

Smart performer at his best on Flat but age looked to be catching up with him in that sphere and he hasn't yet surpassed poor form over obstacles. Others preferred.

Not especially progressive in Irish maiden hurdles and gave himself no chance when blundering badly 4 out in a handicap hurdle at Galway (16.6f, good, 40/1) 19 days ago. Tongue strap goes back on and this admittedly looks easier.

Mahler gelding. 125/1, pulled up in novice hurdle at this course (20.2f, good) on NH debut 34 days ago, tailing off long way out. Hooded for 1st time. Hard to fancy.

Getaway gelding was seemingly found wanting for stamina when tailed off in Market Rasen bumper last month. Much more needed switched to hurdling.

Modest maiden on the Flat and similar form in this sphere for Patrick Griffin. Tongue strap reapplied and worth a market check on the back of a stable switch.

Bit of promise on his second bumper outing and stepped forward from his hurdling debut when a good third at Roscommon (15.5f, good to soft) 11 days ago. Leading player.

Modest winning handicapper on the Flat but recent form has been underwhelming of late and he's opposable switched to hurdling.

Placed in a bumper and confirmed she retains ability when one place behind Chantilly Wings in fourth in a novice hurdle at Roscommon (15.5f, good to soft, 16/1) 11 days ago, faring best of those held up. Should be in the mix again.

£15,000 purchase after getting off the mark in Irish points at fourth attempt in April. Looked in need of a stiffer test when third of 10 on Rules debut in a Worcester bumper in June and shaped as if needing experience when sixth on hurdling bow there 3 weeks ago. Probably one for the longer term.

£14,000 4-y-o, Berkshire filly. Well held in points and similarly offered little when fifth of 7 in novice hurdle at this course (20.2f, good) on NH debut 34 days ago.

Modest maiden on the Flat and ran to a similar level on hurdling bow at Downpatrick (17.8f, good to firm) on NH debut 6 days ago. Quick turnaround hints that she'll likely be one for handicaps in the near future.
